Trappers Mountain Grill
We had lunch at trappers following the recommendation of the Waterton shoreline cruise captain. It’s close to the marina and an easy walk. There’s nice outdoor seating but none was available so we sat inside at a booth with a window view. I had the bison chili which the portion was large enough that the whole bison was in there. (just kidding but it was a big bowl). It came Out hot and had an excellent taste. Also had the dozen wings with b sauce on the side. They were crispy like I like them put possibly a bit overcooked. Still they were good. Wife had the margarita pizza which was more like a flatbread with a little sauce and cheese. She judged oft average. Overall restaurant was clean and tidy. Bathroom was in need of a wipe down but not overly messy. Staff was friendly.

Tried to spend almost $60 on one plate. Steak and asked if we could get salad instead of fries. Was told firmly that they do not substitute. We would have to purchase a separate salad.Any restaurant we have gone to always has given the option. We always pay a couple of bucks more but zero option here and there was no room for discussion.And coffee was full of grounds.So they lost a $57 for a plate and $22 salad.

Service 3They nice. Our refill came with new cups and straws: nice.they werent back to check on us until we finished our meal. So we had empty drinks and i never got my gravy.Environment 3.75We came here after a swim in the lake so we werent looking forms super fancy dining experience. More a casual fun time. We got what we wanted.Very Alberta steakhouse. A few different animals as decorations. Chandeliers made out of antlers. They even have a rare jackalope!There's a dog bowl outside; Very cute.Not alot of options on the menu.Taste 3.5Tasted good. I had the pulled pork. The bun on the side was a little dry but once I piled pork and bbq sauce on it it was fine.Sam got the saskatoon chicken. I wasnt a fan but she said it was delicious.Satisfaction/price 2.5Pricey. But it's waterton so whatevva. Cups are small and they dont bring refills quite often enough.Conclusion 3.2Good little place in waterton for bbq lovers.

Best meal in all of Canada! My waitress Jane was very nice and took great care of me. I ordered the BBQ brisket sandwich with the sweet potato fries. Out of this world with flavor. My compliments to the chef and the entire staff.

We enjoyed the patio, options for gluten free, cozy place.We came here for my husband’s birthday lunch & we were greeted by a very attentive waitress. My dad appreciated the gluten free options for burgers & sandwiches, he ordered the fries with his burger but realized they are not gluten friendly (they are coated), so we got a replacement with a side salad at 7$ extra cost. The decorations & attention to detail is amazing in this restaurant. My husband got the bison burger. All the food & drinks were reasonably priced & a good selection. They have lots of indoor seating as well & a small gift shop type area.

Husband and I ordered drinks and one of the homemade pizza's. It was delicious and the service was fantastic. Great selection of local beers. I would highly recommend anyone to stop by.

The new menu is very limited - lots of family favorites no longer available. My kids love poutine and yet even though they sell poutine they cannot upgrade your fries to a poutine even for an extra charge! Well probably go else where as this is the second time we've been lately and they actually forgot about us last time! Beef burger sad !

Good food, great interior design. The only thing I didn't like was that while I was enjoying my food, the waiter offered me a container in case I wanted to take it out. I felt like I was being rushed. A little later, when we left, I noticed the Closed" sign. I wasn't aware that they were closing soon when we were seated. If they told us in advance when we just entered

The poutine was good. Server was nice and friendly.The ribs were extremely dry, tough and flavorless, did not finish due to awfulness. The texture was closer to jerky than that of a proper rib.The meatloaf was similar in quality to the ribs - not good. Meatloaf is such an easy meat to cook, which is telling if this place can somehow produce a chewy and tough loaf.Absolutely would not recommend this place to anyone.
