I have been going to long beach auto for 4 years now since moving to Tofino. I’m always satisfied with my vehicle on return. Their mechanic Jimmy is the only electrical mechanic that could ever figure out the issue with my van. They’re so knowledgeable and the turn around time for my car is always in a timely manner. I highly recommend this establishment.

Living in Tofino for the last 4 months my 1980 van has unfortunately experienced several different issues and having no other options I brought it to long beach automotive. Being the only shop in town they definitely have the potential to abuse that power and take advantage of customers. However, each visit I've had the complete opposite experience. Front desk was always very helpful and kind, over the phone or in person, and they always seemed to fit me in within a reasonable amount of time. Additionally each visit came to less than my original quote and was often completed sooner than expected which was evidently a great surprise.I wish all shops operated with such honesty and integrity, would highly recommend!Thanks Long Beach!

As a visitor in Tofino, one of the worst thing that could happen during a vacation is to have a flat tire. And unfortunately, I do not have the skills to change one with our donut spare. Being the only mechanic in town, we are at it's mercy. We left the car and the keyfob with them for 1.5 days and it was not even looked at. I understand their reasoning that fixing flat tires are not their priority as they have scheduled repairs on the daily. I TOTALLY GET THAT. What I am asking for is a little bit of kindness and consideration that maybe they can take 15 minutes out of their busy day to help out a fellow human being who are helpless without their help. I even offered to pay an extra 100$ for the service if they are willing to help. But it was refused. AGAIN I TOTALLY GET SCHEDULED REPAIRS ARE THE PRIORITY. I also asked if they know a local guy who could do it and apparently they don't know ANY LOCAL GUY who can do it which I found a bit strange. I then called a guy from UCLUELET who then referred me to a LOCAL TOWING SERVICE who was an angel and was able to get to us in 20 minutes. He changed our tire quickly and professionally. We are forever grateful. I went inside the shop to get our keyfob and the girl there was Did you leave your key with us?" I just have to shake my head in disbelief.We then drove Petro-Canada in Ucluelet to get the flat tire fixed and was done in less than 15 minutes for just 25$. Having a flat without a know-how to change it will never happen to me again. I will make sure to be adept in changing flats and offer my help to anyone who would be in a similar position. Kindness goes a long way and sad to say we did not get any from this establishment.**** UPDATE DUE TO REPLY OF OWNER***The guy who helped maybe from your Towing Company but I was the one who called and arranged everything. You will not get any THANKS because your AUTOMOTIVE COMPANY did not do anything. This review is for the AUTOMOTIVE COMPANY that did not do anything for me. I left a nice review for the towing company because they did something to help me. I left the car for 1.5 days with you and NOTHING HAPPENED. Sir

I use Long Beach Auto for all my vehicle needs. I have a fleet of cars ranging from Fiats to Land Rovers and I have found the service and work done at Long Beach Auto to be top notch! Their diagnostic of issues have always been spot on. Tom, Jimmy, Jess and the whole team are very professional to deal with. Their invoicing is also clear and detailed. I totally recommend them!

Had a puncture in our rental car tire. They were able to fix it for us. Obviously they are working you in with scheduled appointments. When you can only go walking distance away because its your rental and its November, prepare to be a bit cold and frustrated. But it's not their fault it is just a crummy thing that happens sometimes. My advice? Kill some time at the distillary, brewery or coffe roastery down hill from them, just drink responsibly.

I wanted to write a quick review to thank the team at Long Beach Automotive who went way above to get us back on the road. I had a wonderful drive over to Tofino until I hit the construction zone at Kennedy Lake, where the vibration dislodged the retention clip on my clutch pedal...this ultimately resulted in the pivot pin working it's way out and leaving me largely without a functional clutch.When I limped my Aston Martin in this morning I was concerned that they wouldn't want to work on it, but a couple hours later I received a call from them to say it was put back together and reinforced for the trip back through the construction. Super amazing service and I couldn't be more thankful for the team and their effort to fit me in and get me on the road.Mark Proud.

Just looked at a Toyota for sale that was inspected by long beach auto. Long beach stated it needs brakes (rotor pads and calipers) and front tires. The current front tires were so bad they are showing steel. They actually put these on the rear and sent it out, extremely unsafe. Upon my inspection the brakes were totally fine! Over 6mm of pad, evenly worn rotors with zero pitting, and nice gliding calipers.This isn't the first or second time I've had BS coming from them either.

Always do an amazing job, a few months ago I had my brakes done, they went through all the options and pricing. During the middle of the summer rush they were able to do the job in a day and get me back on the road. Last week I went in with power steering issues and despite a packed schedule they squeezed me in, fixed the issue and had a new belt on my car in a day - not an easy feat in remote Tofino. And under quote! Great communication and a great job - very lucky to have them here in the community.

If you want attitude instead of help definitely hit up long beach automotive. The front desk girl has the decency of a rock and the brain of that, probably couldn’t change a tire to save her life. Zero help from there. Comes with problems not solutions, it’s unfortunate because the boys in the back could easily come up with a solution. Even talked to a guy saying he could probably help but when I got back the gate keeper rock shooed us away. Probably only in business because of the monopoly they hold. Thanks for nothing :)

Long Beach Auto look after each of our 7 service vans, everything from general repair, scheduled maintenance to supplying tires. They are a pleasure to deal with, and are extremely professional in taking care of us. Their pricing is more than fair, and we could not recommend them high enough.
