I took in 5 knives of varying lengths and serration (from Shun and Kramer) for sharpening and Dan was able to sharpen them all and realign the blade in half an hour. He was absolutely meticulous and a true expert in the field. He has curated an amazing selection of knives in store and some gems that are impossible to find. From $5 to $1000 knives, you can get anything here. Hunting to cooking. Great stuff and a passion play of a business by the owner. Top notch!!!

Dan is a knife guru! I took him my two best knives for a sharpen and he absolutely delivered perfection. Not just the top-notch sharpening, but he was also able to fix a chip in the tip of my bunka and smooth out the curve beautifully. Never expected to do a review of a knife sharpening, but the work done here just needs it.First off, I called ahead because I was looking to get knives sharpened on a short timeline. I've previously had these same knives sharpened at a kitchen goods store and it took about 2 weeks. Exact Blade told me 30 minutes, which was awesome. I showed up and while one person was helping someone else, I was helped by Gary. I had 7 fairly old Chicago Cutlery knives my mom had given me decades ago. They were used by her, so not even sure how old they are. They looked their age.Gary offered to sharpen in 30m, as they had said on the phone, but then also suggested that they could restore the handles. They'd been beat up by a lot of use and dishwasher time over the years. They had a process to use oil to restore and clean them for just a few dollars. As cheap as it was, and knowing I could spare the day for them to do it, I agreed. OMG, it was absolutely worth it. They didn't even look the same. They looked brand new. I even had to take them to show my mom. I also picked up some knife sheaths from them for extremely reasonable prices. I had priced these out (they were in paper sleeves) and their price was less than anywhere online I could find.Saving the best testimonial for last - my wife refused to accept they were not new knives and was mad at me for a few days as she was positive I was lying. Between the amazingly clean and sharp blades and the completely restored handles, and of course the sleeves, she was angry I went shopping without her. Certainly going back soon with some other family knives for sharpening.

I brought 15 items (get the discount) to be sharpened from Japanese, German, French kitchen knives and scissors, dropped them late morning and picking them up mid afternoon, all perfectly sharpened, handles oiled and going home with few good advises. Dan is the best. I even take my Cutco knives and tools to him to sharpen. Sometimes he gives me same day immediate service. He is professional, convenient and reasonable. How refreshing is that?

I came upon Exact Blade because I live in the area. I took my knives in for a sharpening and they are as good as new! It's remarkable the difference a sharpening can have on your knives. I dropped my knives off on a Friday and picked them up the next day, excellent service and a very reasonable price. I honestly expected to pay more.
