Split Second Basketball

Our son has been a Cobra for a few years now and we have seen such great development in his skills and confidence. The coaches and the programs are great for all skill levels from beginner to advanced. We plan to continue in Split Second programs as we head into the high school years. I recommend Split Second for any kid who is interested in basketball...even those who have never played. My son has made some great friends in his teammates and always comes home from practice happy and sweaty!

I have had the opportunity to play with many of the Split Second coaches and Grade 11/12 players. Split Second coaches teach the game the right way with an emphasis on player development and team play while also creating an incredible team culture. As a former Usport and College player I would HIGHLY recommend Split Second as an excellent basketball program for your children whether they play at a recreational or competitive level. They will absolutely learn to play the game properly at any level while improving their own game and becoming a strong teammate in the process.

We have 2 children who have grown up in the Split Second program and Split Second has been a very important part of their lives. From the coaching to their teammates to the competition to the travelling for highly competitive tournaments in BC and the US, all aspects of the program have helped them develop into excellent basketball players as well as teammates and humans. In addition to the role Split Second has played in our children's lives, my wife and I have taken great pleasure in watching our kids play and getting to know the Split Second community. I have known the coaches and some of the players that have played with this program for approx 5+ years and coming from a background of high level basketball, I’m most impressed by the structure and attention to detail, from a young age to some of the seniors in grade 11-12, the program has a culture of playing basketball the right way like getting your teammates involved, always playing hard, and being coachable, and these are just a few examples that people take notice of and look for from split second players. This program especially prepares players for the demands of post secondary athletics and gives them the tools necessary to not only know what to expect at the next level, but to be successful when they go there.
