I have had to stay here. The Unity is the first place I would recommend to stay out of any shelters in London as they treat you more like a person then a pay cheque unlike the Sally and the mission crash beds. If it wasn't for the unity writing me a strong letter to help me fight against cas for my son it probably would have taken me longer then it did to have him back in my care. Thanks Unity Project you guys are the best!!!

Unity Project is an emergency shelter for men and women experiencing homelessness. People staying at Unity Project can expect shared dorm style accommodation and three nutritious meals a day. It's much smaller than the other shelters in the city, and as a result the staff can work more closely with the people staying there towards getting back on their feet. Unity Project follows the 'Housing First' philosophy, so much of the assistance provided to residents is aimed at helping them find an affordable apartment and getting them moved in.

Workers are very friendly here help you with all your needs....They are pet friendly here and offer you an room for your pet(s) to stay in with you....you see alot of different and strange people and you have some with an addiction and mental health...They help you out all the ways about getting housing and getting back on your feet to live longer...They feed you here 3 meals per day...offer shower....and bathroom....This isn't the place for me never been homeless in my life at the age of 64yr...I am battling everything I am entitled to my benefits and wages from an tractor trailer accident that happen in 2018...I got to stay strong for myself and my pets....I have my ups and downs daily....

I believe it's now called Resting Space, and run by London Cares. Perfect place when you got no place at all.

I have been sleeping in my car homeless since August 1st. I've tried numerous times to get a bed in a shelter. They are always full. I don't have any family that is willing to help me. What am I supposed to do. Why Is there no help for single men. I just need to get back on my feet. Why Is there no help?

It's one of the most sought after shelter for the homeless of London. Having stayed there, I think I can give an accurate review with factsAll donations (clothes and food) go to residents and those who come in throughout he day3 free meals a day preparef by dorm bed residentsDorm rooms are an option for people who need to secure a longer term bed12 crash beds for both men and womenStaff and volunteers treat you with the same respect you treat them, and usually with more, always being politeClean environment, dorm residents must do chores and food preparation to maintain their bedOverall a good environment. I think it's better than the Salvation Army, by a long shot.
