Taste Detours

We had a beautiful time on our tour of Guelph with Lynn as our guide. We went as a birthday gift for my husband and had the BEST time!! It is clear that Lynn has a deep love for her town and this is evident in how she shares about its history & how she connects with her community. We have been on a few food tours in the past 10 years and this one stood out because of Lynn & her passion for all things food & local in Guelph. Highly recommend for food lovers, history lovers and anyone who loves supporting local & small business!

We booked a private corporate Taste Detour for our management team. Lynn was very easy to work with (despite many, many changes!) and was so incredibly helpful! She worked with me to plan a perfect tour for the team that included appetizers at La Reina (OMG, we will be back for more margaritas and tacos soon), small bites and cocktails at Miijidaa (you have to check out their drink menu) and ended with a beer tasting and dessert at The Wooly Pub. My team is STILL raving about the food! And on top of that, Lynn is an amazing tour guide who is so knowledgeable and passionate about the City of Guelph. We learned so much, got to see a bit more of the city and had great food and an overall outstanding experience. HIGHLY recommend Taste Detours!!

Had such a great time this past weekend with Lynn & Taste Detours. Exploring delicious stops through the Guelph Farmer's market and then adventuring into the downtown core. This tour hit up some of my favourite local spots, but also let me try items from a long wishlist of places I hadn't yet been. Throughout it all the tour brought everything back to Guelph, the local history and what makes The Royal City so unique/amazing. Definitely recommend checking out this tour whether you're visiting the city or a long time local!

I would highly recommend a tour with Lynn! I booked a private tour for my Mom and Grandmas Birthday. She accommodated everyone in the group. We learned so much about the history of Guelph and everything food. I will be doing a tour again with Lynn and would very highly recommend to anyone. Our family had an amazing time!!

Beyond impressed with Lynn and her tour that she has created. As a long time Guelphite I learned things about Guelph I never knew and had a lovely day roaming around the Royal City. I bought this at a Christmas gift for my boyfriend and my parents and everyone loved it. You will not be disappointed but instead very satisfied. The food is prepared just for you and you always feel welcome and well taken care of at all of the locations. Note: definitely don’t eat before the tour! You absolutely get your money’s worth and are very full by the end. Thanks Lynn for a great time!

What a fantastic experience. Lynn is an incredibly well-informed and engaging host who goes above and beyond to ensure that her tours are a memorable experience. Probably had the freshest bread and most delicious sandwich we’d ever tasted at the first stop of the tour (The Atmosphere Cafe) and I don’t say that lightly. If you’re looking for an interesting date with your significant other and/or want to learn more about the history of Guelph, I can’t recommend this tour highly enough. Excellent value for money.

My first week in Guelph, I went on a Taste Detours sampling adventure of some of downtown Guelph eateries. It was the best tour and absolutely perfect for a Guelph newbie. I learned of wonderful places to eat and have been back to each and every one of them many times over.

We didn't know much about the history of Guelph and decided that a food tour would be the perfect way to learn about it. Lynn was a well informed guide/host. We moved around the city tasting at different restaurants accompanied by stories. Restaurant owners were so gracious in welcoming us and telling us about their business and history. It was a perfect Friday afternoon. Can't wait to take more time to visit the city and all it has to offer. Thanks Lynn

My wife and I had a fantastic time touring Guelph with Lynn - the food was exceptional, and the company even better. Nothing pairs better with quality food and drink, then a detailed overview of the local history.
