Coal Harbour Community Centre

Splendid! This place never disappointed me—plenty of great programs and classes in different categories for All ages, from fitness to learning languages.Spectacular facilities, friendly staff and quite scenic magical view of the mountains and the ocean. My baby and I enjoy the time here daily.

UPDATE JULY 2022: Seems the city is adding a child care centre, elementary school (finally!! Since downtown school spots are super limited and likely you will be shuttled out of downtown for schooling) and housing which is great! There’s now a huge construction site next to the community centre. Also added programs offered. Still hope they add mandarin courses in the future for kids!Great location connected by sea wall and kid’s playground and empty field/hill for dogs. Community centre itself lacks fun activities compared to West End Community Centre. Wished this offered kids’ mandarin glasses, multisport, etc instead of mainly Japanese courses

Prime location on the water of Coal Harbour. Very warm and friendly staff; Nelson and JJ were pleasant to see every Saturdays for badminton.Unfortunately not many programs are available due to covid. Definitely a great asset for the community. Can’t wait to do more there when lockdown is over.

I'm sure that this is probably a wonderful community centre overall, but today was the first time and last time I will ever visit. The person working at the front desk was one of the rudest people I've ever encountered. He seemed exasperated to even tell me where a particular class was, then scolded me with You're late!" It's a class for young children so I imagine that others may be late? Also

Enjoyed the noon badminton sessions. If you are looking for more challenging games - come at noon sessions

Nice and peaceful place to spend some time. Good before and after school care services and a daycare program. Lots of programs on your choice. Big underground parking with direct access.

It's a good place where you can spend a lot of time doing different activities!

I good spot for a nice walk, the view is great with the ocean and mountains. So many construction around there.
