A & B Tool Rentals

Staff is super friendly. However we rented scaffolding for 1 day and had called after the job was completed for pick up and was confirmed it would be picked up the next day at the jobsite at no additional charges as it was past their pick up time. Their Team forgot to pick up the Scaffold and 2.5 week later my client calls me asking me to removal the scaffolding off their property. At this time we had 0 clue that it was not picked up as they gone through the final billing and I was charged for the discussed price. I then call them to let their front desk know that they forgot to pick up the scaffolding and it was still at the property. At first they try question me if I had called for the pick up but I explained exactly how the call went and it align to their protocol with the timing i was told why it had to be the next day. They said okay that will be picked up asap. I then received an additional charge of $230+ without my authorization for the scaffolding for their own internal mistake. They did not even call to inform about trying to charge me. If I had not called I would have not received additional charges and they would be missing scaffolding.

We've been renting from A & B for years. Anything from hand tools to power tools, essentially they've got you covered when you need construction-related tools or equipment, all propery maintained, so no issues with getting defective stuff. Phone their agents and they will deal with you in a very friendly and professional manner. Pick up at one of their locations, or delivery to your work site available. Pricing is very competitive with hourly/day, or longer range rates. One more service they provide is training if you need to learn how to operate a specific equipment and get yourself certified. A & B is awesome!

I did a aerial lift training with A&B. I contacted them asking about their training program as there is only a minimal amount of info on the web site. I wanted to know dates, times and cost. After asking, they were really slow to respond and it took 3 business days (5 days in total) and multiple messages to get the answer to these questions. The cost was a lot higher than other courses in other areas and almost 5 times the cost of just online programs. After talking with me I came to the conclusion that it would be nice to get a mix of online and in-person training as their program was a better product.The online course kept closing after passing the tests forcing me to go through the course multiple time. As there wasn't a next option I had to take a extra 2 hours to complete the full sections and the main test again and again. When talking with them about this problem they said, “Sorry, it’s very rare that someone has expressed an issue with the system however glitches can happen with technology. I'm really upset the they would sell a server that is faulty or has glitches and when that issue is addressed to them they will do nothing to compensate their customers. The online course it self wasn't great

I urgently needed around 9 construction signs. In short notice, they were able to prepare everything properly. A guy called Ben showed impressive customer service. I was short of few signs but he helped me arrange my order and coordinated with the other store. I had to do nothing. Such customer service is impeccable for retaining customers. I will always call A&B tools for all my future needs and without doubt recommend others.Cheers A&B!!!

To many silly hoops, filled out a cumbersome quote request that asks for contact info and comments etc but it ends there, they do not monitor it or will they call you back, and they don’t include a phone number.but you have to call them and then they will not reserve anything for you unless you physically go down to the store to sign some piece of paper and pay for it, this just to put a hold on it. They were even able to see that I had history with them...goodbye...Called Kerrisdale Equipment and in less then 5 minutes I was able to reserve what I needed. You really need to fix your reservation system.

Had my scissor lift and boom lift training here, Nico is a great instructor. Keep up the great work!!!

Welcoming staff and great prices on rental tools

Used twice now for lawn mowers. Good prices and good service.They're in an industrial area bordering residential so plenty of street parking if their free parking lot is full (hasn't been full for me yet).Their gas pricing is about $1/L more than the gas stations and they charge a minimum of 1L (or maybe it's a full tank considering mower capacity is ~1L) if you don't refill before returning.2023 update: into my second season renting from them. Still great as last year!

Small tool rental...reasonably/fairly priced good quality Hilti hammer drill product. Staff were polite and responsive. Good experience from my end. Tool worked, no issues, price was right and while a little out of the way in SE Vancouver for me...available parking which can be a concern, especially depending on what you rent.

Great people to deal with.. Very knowledgeable and helpful, we've used them many times for various tool rentals for home and yard projects.. Highly recommend
