South Mission Animal Hospital

We have a Saint Bernard that needed weekly care and have paid thousands of dollars to this vet and when we asked if we could do any self care to ease the financial burden of these visits we were told to find a cheaper veterinarian and that they were a “high end veterinary clinic, we should find a less expensive clinic”. Not only am I offended but I am mortified by the lack of compassion. Unless you have deep pockets and no love of animals I’d advise to steer clear of this horrible business. This is what happens when a financial bottom line is priority over animal care

I refuse to take any living creature to this place. The Dr kicked out a man and his dog that he brought in to be euthanized. After giving it 2 sedation shots, the owner pointed out that they were clearly stressing out the dog. The Dr's precious ego didn't like this so he kicked them out, forcing them to travel to another vet to then get her put down.Absolutely disgusting behaviour. I hope that the doctor responsible loses his license for treating people and animals so horribly.You should be ashamed and disgusted to be working with or associated with this mouth breather.Anyone looking for a veterinarian, avoid this place like the plague.FYI most of their reviews are fake or bought, how embarrassing.

Was greeted promptly by a lovely young lady and felt attended to and fully informed of my visit. Was not stressful at all, thanks to all the staff!

South Mission Animal Hospital saved our Cat. He had a hip replacement done here due to being neutered to early from the shelter. Without any hesitation, the hospital proceeded advising us towards the correct procedure. The next day our cat was in and surgery was successful.Thank you so much for saving our buddy

Very disappointed in the care my cat received. At the beginning of our process, they seemed to be caring and then they basically said they couldn’t see me for two days, even though according to THEM, we’d had a plan for more Xrays the next morning and a possible scope. They did not inform me, at that time, that they were too busy and did say my cats health was serious. I felt like they just left me hanging. I ended up getting an appointment (they fit me in), with Pawsitive Vetcare. They were awesome and treated my cat immediately and, I am pleased to say, she has recovered. They were caring and compassionate. Would not recommend..

The team at South Mission Animal Hospital is fantastic. They have taken care of our cat, Alfie, for many months now and are professional, informative, warm & always smilling ... yes, even under the masks, I can tell! I'm a worry-wart and they always put my mind at rest. We have just adopted another little cat from the SPCA and we're so excited for her to get to know the fabulous Dr Amy and the gang. Thanks, everyone!

After trying a couple of clinics in Kelowna I now use South Mission. They truly care about the pets in their care and follow up by phone after appointments to check in which I really appreciate. (Photo of my boy Thomas O'Malley because I can't help myself)

So helpful and kind. My cat Leaf has an eye infection and after days of struggling to get an appointment anywhere South Mission got us in the same day. Dr. Coldwell gave us medicine to clear it up as well as helping us learn things about his health we didn't even know about. She was great with him too! A couple days later and he's not squinting anymore and it's healing great! All the staff was very kind and empathetic, and it was also quite affordable all things considered. Would definitely reccomend!

They fit my mom's dog into they're schedule even though it was busy and took AMAZING care of her, and the vet gave some good recommendations on how to proceed with her care.
