The jerk Marshall Jamaican Grill

Do not waste your money by ordering from this store, they are very disrespectful and do not care about the customer's satisfaction. Today i ordered food from here off skip the dishes and they totally disregarded what i selected and served me basically whatever the hell they felt like. I ordered a fry chicken dinner with white rice and coleslaw, i was served rice n peas, No coleslaw. Biggest disappointment was the curry goat, i chose pasta salad as my side but instead i was served rice n peas again, no pasta salad and the leftover scrapings of curry goat, maybe 5 tiny pieces of meat if so much. I find that to be very disrespectful since i did pay $12 plus tax per order of food. I separated all the meat and bones to show exactly what i recieved that made me so furious, the rest is rice and extra gravy.... also this is not the first time they have packed my order wrong.

I've gotten takeout from here several times now and every time it's been delicious. The jerk chicken is great, the brown stew chicken is rich and flavourful and the curry chicken roti is elite. You can tell the side salads (coleslaw and macaroni) are made from scratch with fresh ingredients. Overall portions are good and everything tastes like good home cooking. Can't wait to try more dishes.

Great food, great service and great atmosphere. Was here on Canada Day they were grilling out front, even had a DJ. Everyone was very nice and said hi. I’ve been in Barrie for 11 years (from Toronto) and this brought me back to my upbringing by little Jamaica (Eglinton West). You can taste the grill in the food, quality is the best I’ve had in years.Thanks for staying true to the roots <3 highly recommend and will be back!

Worst customer service ever! There was one young lady who was so rude! I asked her some questions and she rolled her eyes, and gave me attitude!She kept making faces of disgust at me and my food choices. I don’t understand why you guys still keep that one young lady around.I’ve looked at other reviews, and there is 1 recurring problem. That disgustingly rude lady! Why do you guys still keep someone who is incredibly rude!

Real flavourful and authentic .. very generous portions too so goodEdit: the only thing good here is the curry goat. Buy a large chicken soup? Don’t expect any chicken or .. anything but YAM. When I complained the next time I went they laughed and said there wasn’t no meat left. So tell someone that. The broth was salty and not nice either so a waste of money. Curry goat is still bless… but the red hair lady loves to dish out bones… the one that people say is rude serves my food nicr

Horrible customer service. I was grossly overpriced for a 12Pack of frozen beef Pattie’s and cocoa bread…. Which disgustingly was more than my three large meals???… $75 for cocoa bread and frozen beef Pattie’s. Don’t waste your money here people!! JJs, Irie or Happy mango are the best spots for jerk chicken in Barrie Ontario.

Just moved to Barrie and was very excited to see a few Jamaican and Caribbean restaurants in town. I decided to try the Jerk Marshall and I was NOT disappointed. The large Jerk chicken meal was huge and very tasty. Great spice and very tender, and the coleslaw was really good. Definitely be back here again to get my fix. People were friendly and the price was great. Also the hot/pepper sauce was really nice.

Negative Review:I'd like to bring to the owner's attention about your female employee's attitude toward customers (evening shift). I've never seen such literal rudeness, who even dares to scold and disrespect other customers (i.e. making faces, questioning arrogantly etc). Better review your staff performance. Your business will lose customers due to her behavior. I have to ask another male staff to serve me after witnessing what this lady employee was doing to the other customers. Apparently the owner and this male staff already knew this issue from previous complaints and reviews. There are other people out there looking for a job and can do 1000x better.Positive Review:My favorites are stew chicken and fried chicken. Jerk chicken is also good. Excellent foods.

One of my coworkers took five of us there for lunch. The food looked good and tasted even better. Delicious!!!The service was friendly and fast.They had tables to eat at but having to eat in take out containers was not my preference. They had some good Jamaican music and we enjoyed our lunch. Will definitely order food again.

Got a 1/2 jerk chicken to eat while we watched the fireworks.This was authentic and delicious. We will be back!
