A Ukrainian-Russian friend took me here and we both liked the borscht. Honey cake and Napoleon cake are also delicious. (Mushroom potato) perogie not so much.

Not impressed with soft opening. The person behind the counter seemed rushed and didn't make customers feel welcome. They had a few bakery items available but most of the shelves were empty. At least the samples were pretty good, especially the cinnamon roll. They obviously weren't ready to open because there was still construction material behind the counter in plain view of the eating area. Hopefully they'll improve on the service and ambience in the next few weeks.

Great takeaway options and friendly staff. We stopped by and picked up some vegan borscht and goulash, potato and dill pierogis, apricot and walnut bread, and a slice of chocolate babka. It was all amazing, but the pierogis and babka were my favorite. Would love to stop by to dine in the next time we’re in town!

I have tried this Ukrainian restaurant for the first time and really enjoy them dishes.Everything was fresh and very tasty.The service was excellent the staff very friendly and well prepared to answer any questions.I have tried the 3 course set menu vegetarian options and my husband the regular menu.Both options were very well prepared and delicious reminders me of my home food.We will be back!

Great dishes, loved the borscht and pork cabbage rolls. Lots of take out food too, will be going back to try more of the menu. Friendly service and the owner is nice.

The BEST dining experience so far in Vancouver. This restaurant serves authentic Ukrainian cuisines and has the best service. My friend and I ordered their signature mains, pastry and latte. All of them were perfectly made. I would definitively come more often!

I ordered a Hungry Tato’s Combo for takeout which cost $20 instead of the online menu price of $16.25. Upon opening it at home I was astounded to see only one cabbage roll, two pyroghis, one small meat roll, a half slice of bread and some sour cream. I had assumed that a hungry tato would require more than that small serving to satisfy. Food was good but vastly overpriced for the amount. I want to support Ukraine but would prefer to do so with donations. I won’t be back.

This place feels like home the moment you walk in, no matter where you are from! Amazing food, super friendly staff and cozy atmosphere! The Napoleon cake is a bomb of deliciousness!

Kozak Ukrainian Eatery & Mill
The Missus and I have visited this restaurant a number of times. We really love having a coffee with their bakery items and just enjoy each other's company. An Americano is free if you order before 11:00 AM with any pastry. The service is very friendly and quick. We also quite often pick up our favorite country sourdough bread loaf.We highly recommend Kozak's.
