I've had to take both of my dogs here at different times when my regular clinic was fully booked. I am very pleased with the care that was given to both of them, as well as the fair pricing and honesty regarding the best, yet cost-effective, treatments to my furry friends.

Got my cat in for emergency procedure , reasonable prices , good staff and Dr Jas is very caring doctor . Thank you .

I did find it frustrating that the Vet didn't seem to understand my questions, luckily the very nice helper was able to help answer.Update: Went back with my dog again and because of my review he made sure I knew if I want to ask questions I need to pay more. Try and avoid

I brought my cat in as he was 17 years old and he was crying in the middle of the night. I was met in the exam room by a young lady whom had been the receptionist as well. She took my cat to the back for the vet to examine. At no time did I ever meet or speak to the vet. I ended up paying just over $600 to be told my cat was in kidney failure. I was given a small bottle of antibiotics that cost an exorbitant amount of money. It was recommended I change my cats diet to a kidney diet. After the problem didn’t resolve after a couple of weeks, I called and asked to speak to the vet. I was informed I’d have to make an appointment if I wanted to speak to him. I have had numerous pets throughout the years and speaking to a vet has never been an issue. I felt the overall experience was impersonal, expensive and lacking compassion. I had my cat put to sleep a month later as he was really sick. I wish the vet had had a discussion with me about my cats prognosis. It would have made all the difference in the world.

I would like to commend the staff at Westgate Animal Hospital for their quick thinking and compassion. During a visit for my cats, I was unwell, fainted, and fell outside the clinic. This was particularly scary for my husband and me as we are expecting. The staff cleaned my wounds and offered to board our cats free of charge while get medical attention at the hospital. Thank you so much and also thanks for checking up on our cats at last minute notice!

Absolutely appalling behaviour from the doctor and I feel sorry for the receptionists that feel they cannot speak the truth for fear of losing their jobs and are forced to lie to customers about prices and additional unnecessary charges to make an extra buck. Please consider getting a new doctor that isn’t money hungry, preferably one that genuinely cares for the animals well being and how to efficiently care for the animals needs.

The first time I ever came here (and ever will) my cat was having troubles breathing. She sadly passed away under their care.My issue was that at no point did anyone make it clear that she was going to die that day. They gave me multiple phone updates, but never directly made sure I understood how serious the situation was. I had even told Dr. Jas previously that this was my first time going to the vet ever, since she was my first cat and I hadn’t had her for very long (so how would I know to read their minds). When they called me to come in sooner than the pick up time I assumed that they just needed paper work or something filled out because of how vague their wording and casual their tone was.Sadly I got there too late to say goodbye.When I told Dr. Jas how frustrating this was, he was completely unsympathetic and immediately got defensive and started directly blaming me for not coming sooner (even though I had no reason to think I needed to be there ASAP). I understand that they don’t like to cause panic, however, it was just a complete punch in the face to get there and be told my cat that I loved so deeply was dead.And when he was explaining the X-rays to me he went to place the piece of paper on her body instead of on the space on the table next to her. Very disrespectful and rude.My experience with him made me feel terrible and powerless. No grieving pet parent should have to feel this way. ESPECIALLY when death was the last thing they expected to happen.Overall, a traumatic and expensive experience. Do not take your cat here.

Dr. RANOTE and his staff are amazing. We have had all 3 of our pets there and they have always been so great with them all as well as kind and affordable. I wouldn't trust my pets with anyone else! We can't thank them enough! All the staff is nurturing and loving with our pets and their resident cat Moe makes all experiences even better
