100% the worst experience I've had with any company ever. If I could give 0 stars I would. Sales rep comes to our door, we ask the right questions regarding cancellations, collection of devices, terms and conditions etc. and they lie to our face. Saying we can cancel at any time with no charge, if we move we don't need to bring the services over to our new place, and a technician will come pick up devices before we move. As we are now moving we call to cancel to find out we are apparently in a 3 year contract, need to pay 500 dollars to cancel and the devices are not going to be removed?? Which was never mentioned to us despite our questions. Other customer service reps say it's actually 5 years so clearly something is wrong??? On top of that the customer service reps we spoke to were quite rude to us and only one named Rob was actually willing to help us out at all giving us numbers of higher ups to call to try to sort this out. Would definitely not recommend getting any service from this company as it's just a huge scam. Learn from our mistakes :)

Dangerous Security Provider. AVOID at all costs!!Another example of a company being purchased by a big corporation and losing complete grip and care. When ADT was overtaken by Telus, our services were transferred. We had Telus security reps come to our home to assess the safety of the system and any necessary upgrades. No motion detectors were placed upstairs, at their guidance and unbeknownst to us, they didn't even check the functionality of the existing detectors.Continual issues with arming, broken door sensors, faulty equipment.Fast forward, two months later, our home was robbed. They said they could get someone to fix the issues, in two weeks.Zero care or concern that their defective system led to an incredibly traumatic and violating experience.Stay vigilant, by using anyone other than Telus!!!

Very bad customer service and security service. The guy who picked up the call seems like he is using a loud speaker and was too far from the phone I can’t hear him clearly. Was with them for 3 years, nothing but headache. There’s always a delay for the notifications. If I leave my house, I will get a notification like after 2-5 mins, what’s the point of that if notifications are not real time. Plus the camera and smoke alarm keeps on getting disconnected/offline. Then it’s so hard to get the contract terminated.

Worst experience ever. I have been their loyal customer for almost 6 years. One year ago my system started to have the ongoing issue. I had SIX technicians trying to fix it, but the issue came back a week after their visit. Last time I was ready to cancel their service and they asked me to give them a last chance to fix it. I was promised that if doesn’t work again, I would be able to cancel. They told me that it would be on my file. Guess what, nothing was fixed so I called yesterday to cancel it. And I wasn’t able to do that as they signed me up for the next two years without my permission or my knowledge about it. I was requested to pay penalty for early cancellation. And nobody cares that the system hasn’t been working this whole year while they charged me for full service. Moreover they were pushy over phone and raised their voice at me (Retention department ( Audrey and her manager Ellis)), both were following just their standard procedure and didn’t care that my home security was compromised during the year by their lack of service. All they care is only the money. I was so frustrated. Never again ADT will be at my home.Think twice about signing up for ADT.

It is the 10th anniversary of my husband’s passing this year. This year also marks the 10th year that ADT has been stealing monthly payments from my bank account. I canceled our landline shortly after the funeral. I then received a call from ADT letting me know that the system wouldn’t work without a landline. I asked them to cancel the account and sent in a death certificate. The house was then sold in early 2013. Phones calls, emails, snail mail, death certificate repeatedly,stop payments- nothing has stopped ADT from robbing me every month since 2012. It’s like being in an abusive relationship and no matter what you do you can’t escape the abuser. Literally, I resigned myself to being victimized every month-but 10 years maybe we should celebrate? ADT can pay for the shin dig with the thousands of dollars they’ve taken from me. Seriously, I am crying as write this review.

Worst service ever. When it was time to upgrade me even though I did not want one I got calls and follow everything. Once new system installed customer support after was minimal to zero. My old account was only closed today since March 2022 and seems like I am in arrears yet money was going off my account every month but to the old account. So finally that is closed and I'll receive a cheque in 2-3 weeks? Why can't you credit new account? Collectors are calling me hahah yet money is upto date with you. This is a joke.

Absolutely terrible! Scheduled an installation appointment for 8am on Monday, made arrangements to accommodate the install, tech no show! Called and they say no record of the appointment. Then transferred to several other admin ppl., again nothing. Manager got involved trying to get a hold of installation department, he can’t get a hold of his own ppl. Signed a contract over the phone, first payment due in a few weeks but equipment not installed yet. They offered credits, credits on what? I have no equipment. These guys are terrible

Christ... why can't you select zero stars???Trying to cancel my services - been a customer with the same system for 12 years.Why?Super unprofessional sales guy.Installer sounded like a scam artist.1st call to cancel - not answered for 10 minutes, spoke with someone and as asked to hold for a few minutes after explaining why I was cancelling, listened to hold music for another 10 minutes and the call ended... nice!2nd call to cancel (dialed the same number). Not answered for 10 minutes, turned out I was somehow routed to the wrong ADT call center this time around. Was told I must have selected something incorrectly... I had no prompts.I am now 40 minutes in to call #3 (I selected another option this time around to ensure I got to speak with someone). I specifically requested a warm transfer.Not recommending ADT should you think you may ever want to go with another provider and need to cancel your service with them.BRUTAL!

Atrocious level of incompetence. Do NOT waste your money on ADT now that Telus has taken over. Nothing they’re supposed to do gets done. Same issue time after time. Astonishing that they can remain in business with the level of incompetence they exhibit. If you’re in anyway concerned about the security system you use I would avoid at all cost.
