My kids went here for 3 years. The room staff is great but is treated absolutely terrible by this employer. Please check glassdoor and indeed reviews to know how they treat their staff. There is huge turnover of staff and parents are never told when staff comes and goes. The only way you would know is if your children are old enough to tell you themselves. Parents were locked out during Covid and still are very uninvolved in anything going on at daycare. You will not get to know your child’s teacher and even if you do they will leave within a month. Recently all their long term staff has quit because of the terrible working conditions and the treatment of them. You are not permitted to ask your kids teachers any questions and I received multiple incident reports about injuries to my children that were completely untrue. After 3 years my children were kicked out of childcare with zero notice after my child came home with a black eye and bruises and scratches all over his face and neck. I was told by the director that he walked into a tree. When I questioned her about it and asked to speak to his teacher I was told to leave for verbally assaulting the staff and that they didn’t owe me any answers to my questions about what happened to my kid. I was required to sign the incident report or get out. I’m glad we no longer go here as it was an extremely toxic environment to my children. The operations director, Chantalle is a complete narcissist that treats parents terribly. If you ever challenge her or the director, Stephanie you will quickly see their true colours. They are only interested in looking after your children if you keep your mouth shut. Stephanie will remind you that they have a wait list and can replace your kids if need be.Addition: Response back to ownerNobody was ever verbally abused by me: ask your staff, they all seem quite supportive towards me and many have reached out to me since this. Asking questions about the injuries your child sustained at daycare is not verbal abuse. You not liking my review of your daycare is not verbal abuse. Doctors requesting that I am allowed to bring in food for my child for his medical condition is not verbal abuse. Getting attacked by me on a daily basis? Interesting because I only ever saw the director once a month at best and the room staff are lovely people that's why I stayed. Pretty hard to verbally abuse people you don't see. Its Chantalle and her constant bullying that is the problem. And thank you for proving my point that management and Chantalle's true colours will shine through if they are questioned about anything. You have 3 staff members left that have been around since I started and you are on your third director. 3 of your long term staff have quit in the last month. And every other daycare has allowed parents inside for at least 6 months.

Where to start... welp here is my experience. I had Both my kids In this program. However my youngest was the one that stayed the longest. overtime As staff continuously changed I noticed The difference with my child. He had horrible experiences near the end.. Before we were kicked out and told that he needed A special aid, and a thural doctor check up, There was a time Where my child was thrown a tantrum And a lady That is called a boss there had held a camera in front of his face and recorded him while he was freaking out. I have talked to multiple staff members that claim it wasn't my childs problem all the time. In fact the one lady in the upstairs room who sat on her a s s most of the time Greeted me with her childhood stories and why she thinks my son is the way he is based off of her experience. This program is despicable. I have left summit now a few months back and I'm finally writing my reviews Because it needs to be heard. I know a few other families there that have suffered the same problem. Stuck with no child care because of there child being removed due to uneducated staff in child development there and couldnt handle them. Or perhaps Realizing stuffing in a bunch of children in a room like a can of sardines isn't going to work out. They don't even treat their workers good. I'm friends with the lady that worked there and it's interesting to hear that persons feed back. I hope ANYONE reconsiders this terrible childcare. Not to mention there was a time where my son At three years old made it all the way across the park lot without anybody noticing, almost to the gas station. How do these situations happen? There were also 2 other children with him. Please consider wisely. The disrespectful conversations with front desk to. Completely awful. Please feel free to ask any further questions I wil gladly keep sharing my experiences. ALSO, since my son has left there. He was a completely different child. I can't even begin to imagine the stress he was under there.OH and one last thing if you bring any personal items there. Forget getting them back unless you ramsak the lost and found. They lose the gloves all the times they lose the bottles all the time. Pathetic.

I don’t even know where to begin with how much we love Summit. From the moment we toured the facility they have been wonderful. The people that work at this facility are amazing , from the admin / directors to the staff that work with the kids they’re all hard working people who adore the children . They know everyone on a personal basis and make sure to make your child feel at home . My son loves coming here everyday , the activities that they do everyday are always a mix of fun yet teaching at the same time . They always have good open communication with the parents about everything which is nice for new parents.Like me I’m sure you’ve read the reviews here and maybe the negative reviews might worry you . Do what I did and just ask them about them . Instead of immediately jumping to defend themselves they were honest and explained situations and thanked me for just asking . Remember people are always quick to review something when it’s negative .Overall we have had nothing but positive things to say about this place and wouldn’t change a thing .

After much thought, I have come to a conclusion that this company has the wrong people in power. The y do not care about the staff even though they have some of the best staff i have come across in my years of putting my kids in daycare. The staff are friendly, dedicated and genuinely care about the kids but they are UNDERAPPRECIATED.This is the only daycare i have come across that does not have a proper play space, when i enrolled my child i was told it was a work in progress and i later heard from the grapevine that this has been the case since the inception of the daycare, promises after promises. The management is nothing to write home about, full of deception especially the CEO and the operations manager in charge of the daycare, most parents are not oblivious to this but just choose to live with it because of the trusted staff and the care given to their children.Oh! the operations manager is a character, manipulative, power possessive narcissist. I only wish this company realizes soon that they have amazing staff and treat them as such before they run this place down.

*** update***We pulled our little one out of the program a year ago and switched to another daycare provide, as there was a lack of leadership and quite a bit of staff turnover. The regional manger is completely over her head and isn’t in a position to handle the responsibilities involved with her promotion. We sincerely tried to make things work and kept our son there longer than we should have. They still have wonderful caring staff, which is why we gave the 2 stars. I hope for their sake that management steps in before the place completely falls apart.Previously-My first experience with Summit was not the greatest; however, my toddler has been attending Summit Start Chestermere now for well over 6 months, and I have nothing but very positive things to say. All the caregivers and staff genuinely care about the children as if they were their own. Everyone is friendly and approachable. The environment mirrors a number of Montessori principles (child-sized, accessible, etc.) to foster growth and development. Our little guy loves it there, and we highly recommend this place.

Summit Start is an excellent Day Care Centre. I deal with them for two of my children and I have nothing but good things to stay about them - they are professional, responsible and most importantly provide a superb environment for the children. Summit Start is not just providing a child keeping" service - they are providing good training

The staff are so caring with the kids, the staff at the front are so friendly. They bring the kids out everyday for a walk (not just to their own playground). They send lots of photos. My daughter loves going. Prices are comparable to other daycare centers.
