Solid choice for ramen. Whether you go to the Alexandra or Bayview location, expect quality food with the service to match. If you want to check out the Bayview location, and can't find parking or don't want to pay, there is free parking across the street from the big playground/picnic area (rarely full) on Moncton St, which is about a 5 min walk away from the restaurant.You can tell they put a lot of effort into their menu; not just the dishes available, but the actual menu itself was carefully crafted. Theres a lot of information with all the different types of ramen, soup bases, and add-ons etc, but they made it very easy to follow for people trying out ramen for the first time.The Red Chili Miso Pepper (RCMP) ramen was their star dish for me. Don't be deceived by the colour of the broth; it was not as spicy as it appeared. The broth consisted of complex flavours and was wonderfully balanced with a rich smooth creaminess with a slight kick to it. The noodles were perfectly done al dente. The bbq pork (add on item) had a nice char to it that added a hint of smokiness to the broth.The Butter Cheese (BC) fries are a must try. The crispiness is unparalleled, and the garlic mayo is so addictive, I would buy the sauce bulk off them.

We're happy with our choices. The torqued salmon toro sashimi was sooooo good, fresh and melted in mouth. Ramens (spicy & miso) are average. Spicy chicken and takoyaki were not bad. I especially like the yuzu cider, it's refreshing. Price is reasonable. Customer service is great. Washroom was clean & nice.

The broth is very very good, and the ramen and egg goes really well with it! Only 4 stars as despite the amazing taste, it is on the pricy side, and they charge extra for more condiments such as chilli oil. But the parking is easy to find, and again, some of the best broth I’ve had for ramen! I highly recommend the tantan ramen (contains peanuts) and the miso ramen :)

We visited this restaurant on March 15, 2023 while on a quick visit from the USA. I judge a restaurant by the service and food, and this one is a 5 star on every category. We were greeted with a smile even though they were crazy busy at the front door with a zillion takeout orders. All the 2 tops were taken and we declined to sit at the bar, but they happily sat us in a family table. I always have a bento box and karaage if it's on the menu, The presentation is, well, picture perfect as you can see. The taste is even better. Finally, we called for the bill. Thank you Austin for your kindness and our best wishes to you in your future endeavor. I can't wait for your grand opening!

G-Men serves refreshing ramen that very worth the price, especially the Ae Soba. Many options for Japanese food other than Ramen and excellent customer service. The food just looks amazing!

This is the bay noodle shop I've eaten at. The serving are very large, and they show on the menu how much broth comes with each dish with the option to add more fire personal preferences. The spices are perfect, the noodles cooked just right, and the servers very attentive to your needs. I ate in the outdoor patio area and thoroughly enjoyed myself.

This was my first time to this Steveston restaurant right on the main strip. We’d made a reservation for 6:30, but waited until 6:50 to be seated. No problem since the rest of my group was late and the server was so apologetic. The decor was very vintage cute and the menu items looked promising. Unfortunately, all the ramen we ordered was over-salted! I couldn’t enjoy the ‘light’ chicken, fish, and clam broth in my shoyu ramen at all. Everyone else’s ramen, wet or dry, was the same. My add-on ikura uni don was much better as were the delicious crispy well-seasoned spicy chili fries & butter and cheese flavour fries with garlic mayo dip. The chicken karaage was nothing to rave about as there was a strong cooking wine taste to it. Also, even though the servers were friendly, service was a bit lacking.

My goodness, that is a lot of salt. This is what we kept thinking as we ate at G-Men. The establishment is moderately well maintained and basically clean considering it is busy.It is the food that I can't recommend. We had RCMP ramen, fried chicken, and fries. All the food contained so much salt it was hard to eat. The salt masked the flavors to the point it is hard for me to say if it would be good in the absence of salt.Service was also spotty. We had rotating servers who failed to check in with us at all. Requests were forgotten and we were forced to wave down a passing staff for help.I cannot recommend this restaurant.
