Is Lakehead's primary campus library (Chancellor Paterson) the biggest or newest university library in Canada? Of course not. But what this library lacks in square footage, it makes up for with a variety of study spaces (old, new, loud, quiet, private, group), electronic resources that provide all necessary study & research materials, and caring staff that go the extra mile. If you can't find a study space here that fits your needs, you aren't trying hard enough - each floor has a different accepted volume level & many different desk/chair/booth/study room options. First-years should do a library tour during your first few months at school- it'll save you time over the course of your degree. Don't miss the academic support centre that includes writing, math & tutoring supports. Special shout out to Debra Gold, who has helped me through more literature searches than I care to admit.

Good resources except for the printer and scanning devices are old fashioned and require a lot of hustle just to print and scan, especially scanning oouf!

I love this library so much, the fact that it's in my school campus is beautiful.
