Beware -- Seems as though it is hit and miss as to whether or not they (FiredUpX and Jimmy Singh) will help you out.Short version:Per FiredUpX website, batteries are estimated to have a recharge life that exceeds 800 recharges and still maintain half of the battery capacity. MINE LASTED 9 RECHARGES.In the past, FiredUpX has replaced defective batteries outside of warranty. Leading me to believe that perhaps there was a problem in manufacturing (pure speculation on my part though seems it may be the case). I captured this info from their web page in screen shots yet FiredUpX Jimmy Singh declined to do the same for my case.Long Version:I purchased a FiredUpX heated vest through Costco in 2019. The vest itself is great and I use it primarily on my motorcycle with a direct connect cable. Works great. Occasionally if I have misplaced my cable or it is winter and I'm working outside extended hours I run it on batteries that were included with the vest. I have recorded every battery use/charge since new (simply write on the battery with marker). Only ever powered the vest from one of the two batteries included in the purchase but always charged both batteries when I was done. Total number of times using a battery was 9 before it failed to take a charge and reads zero volts. Charger and second battery are fine. I have followed the manufacturer's recommendation for charging every three months whether in use or not. 9 TIMES . . . THAT WAS ALL IT LASTED - 9 OUT OF CLAIMED 800+.FiredUpX website says recharge half-life of batteries is 800 charges. Did I mention that mine lasted 9. Given that one battery (from Costco) is about a third the cost of the vest I did some research to see if this was comon. It appears as though it is not uncomon. In the past Jimmy (FiredUpX owner) has replaced problem batteries that were outside warranty . . . and not just on one occasion. I took screen shots of this info to prepare an email asking for consideration to replace my obviously defective battery. I contacted Jimmy Singh to plead my case providing the information from his corporate web page. While others have had their defective batteries replaced outside warranty, I was declined.I understand that warranties are stated and I don't expect special treatment and so too I acknowledge that the product I have is outside of warranty, however: if FiredUpX will send replacements for some defective batteries outside warranty and not others what message does that send to your customer. To me it says you care about some but not others. I'm a pretty fussy guy and take care of my stuff and am saddened to be treated as an outsider by FiredUpX and Jimmy Singh.

Nothing but good things to say about this Canadian company. Have been using the vest for 3 seasons and batteries/vest are still going strong. The vest is a game changer for anyone that enjoys the outdoors but doesn't like being cold. I'm sure their other products are as well. Been using it for fall fishing late November when ice is forming on the lake, skiing, shoveling snow, even dropping off kids on cold days!Vest is still lasting ~4hrs on low, ~2hrs on high. Get the one that fits snug and put it over your base layer, then insulate (sweater/jacket) over it.When I first purchased the product, I had some questions. Was surprised and impressed to see the owner himself replied to my emails. Jimmy is awesome to deal. Highly recommended, and have recommended to many of my friends and family.

I received the heated vest as a gift and after some use developed a battery problem. Thanks to Jimmy at Customer Service I'm happy to say things are nice and warm again. As a Scuba Dive Master and cold water Winter diver the thought of hitting the lake without my vest was not a happy one. Jimmy was awsome and a real life saver. Great product and top notch after sales service.ThanksSteve Moon

Love my new vest! My brother in law recommended this to me and after trying it on for 15 mins, I was sold. Perfect for working from home on a chilly day and I’m sure I will enjoy this snowboarding and tobogganing. I just machine washed this and no issues whatsoever. I’ve started recommending to my friends and I know there are already 2 new and very happy customers after my purchase within days. Game changer for our Canadian winters and love that this is a Canadian company!

The FiredUp vest is awesome! Lent it to someone who was working outdoors in winter - I don't think I'm getting it back :) Ideal for dog walking on cold days.

I really wanted to love my heated vest, but the batteries do not last. Average no more than 1.5hrs, so then you have to change the battery for another 1.5hrs (not always practical) Friends bought Karbon heated vest which lasts for hours.I will say the company was responsive and sent a replacement pair of batteries, which helped a little.
