Well, that is one thing you can put aside in your life when you call Irene and her team of professionals at The House and Garden Co. I have used Irene as a florist for over 20 years and have never, ever been disappointed. 9 out of 10 times I never see the flowers, and I don't need to - instead, I get a call, every single time, telling me how incredible they are - every time. Put your faith, trust and money into this place and you will not be sorry. The quality of the product is second to none and whatever the occasion, they will exceed your expectations.

best of the best! did all the flowers for my wedding (bouquet, boutonnières, little table settings) and everything was beyond perfect. not to mention they are just about the loveliest to deal with + it's hard to leave the shop without wanting just about everything!

Today I have a special day. My husband ordered for me a flower arrangement from The House and Garden Co. (Scarbough) The arrangement was delivered to our house on time. It is SO BEAUTIFUL!I would like to thank a florist; they made my day! My husband and I would recommend this store to our colleagues, friends, and family. Beautiful, and tastefully arranged bouquets, on both of my orders, but sadly they wilted and petals on roses turned brown soon after.Photos one and two represent the same arrangement a few hours after delivery yesterday, Saturday, April 3, 2021, and the third photo represented an order for Valentine's Day captured on February 15, 2021.I suspect that these arrangements were composed a couple of days prior to delivery because when I changed the water the day of delivery it was cloudy. I frequently purchase flowers to display in vases, and my experience is that this happens after two or three days of unchanged water, and insufficient storage and/or transport conditions.Having paid well over $100 plus taxes and shipping for each order, I would expect that the flowers would be fresh for at least a few days, or even longer. This was a disappointment, especially since the most frequent order was a compensatory delivery for my negative experience back in February.If you have a similar experience, do contact the owner who is understanding and who strives to make amends. As well, they are unresponsive in private messaging on Instagram even though their push activity is frequent. Communication is important on social media especially when used as a tool to promote one's business.I wish this company all the best, but they need to revisit their practice of floral preparation and storage in advance of a bustling delivery period.I will not be dealing with House and Garden Co. in the future, sadly.Edited to Add:I refreshed the arrangement by removing any green foliage, and proceeded to prune the stems on an angle. I then immersed the stems in fresh water with a tablespoon each of bleach and sugar. I'm happy they are showing signs of revival on this special day, Easter Sunday. Please see the fourth and fifth photos for the revival of the bouquet.

An absolutely beautiful store with a vast variety of items to choose as gifts and furnishings for your home. Purchased dozens of plants and items over the years and always pleased. Recently had a couple of ivy plants die within a weeks time and was very disappointed by the negative comments received by staff and owner in my attempt to return the bad batch for a thriving ivy. 'It must be you!' No one else is returning them!' Those were the mild comments! The complaint was taken so personally and handled so unprofessionally by owner I was taken back. As a long standing customer I do not take lightly being bullied. I would've preferred a phone or email response versus the over the top ambush in a cafe. I believe how conflict is handled is telling. I would suggest taking some University courses on hospitality and conflict resolution in retail management as we all can improve. Please find pics of my thriving ivy plants purchased years ago! Such a green thumb I have eh!

I have been using House and Garden for many years now. They are my go-to florist for everything from dinner party arrangements to hostess gifts to funeral arrangements. I always receive compliments on their stunning arrangements whether I give direction regarding colours or give them free rein to create something beautiful. The store itself is lovely with so much more than flowers and the staff are friendly and helpful. House and Garden is a gem in the neighbourhood!

A family friend recommended this place to get flowers for my wedding. I met with the owner, Irene, but unfortunately they don’t answer emails. It took almost a month of back and forth, with me constantly having to follow up, to set up a meeting and finally get a quote, I had replied to the initial emailed quote inquiring about another option for centre pieces, that was May 16th, I never received a response back, so I ended up ordering my wedding flowers somewhere else.

I was a little disappointed in the flower arrangement I purchased. Delivered on Thursday and didn't last thru the weekend.

House and garden was always my neighbourhood go to. They have the most beautiful trinkets and home decor. We hired them for my daughters first birthday and they helped bring my vision to life. Irene was so kind, assured me everything would be done! They showed up on time and I never had to follow up. A complete dream to work with. Thank you ladies for all your hard work!
