Mama Andy's sister kitchen Mamacita Andy recently opened its doors in Mexico! I and a group of curious friends joined together and feasted on the earthy nourishing flavors of seaweed soup, braised short ribs with a hint of pineapple sweetness, spicy pork belly, Spinach and homemade pickles.WOOOOW! The flavours brought me back for a second round.Thank you, Mamacita Andy. The depth and complexity of each dish reflect your generous, playful, spirit, and wonderful heart. MUCHAS GRACIAS!

Mama Andy is out on tour in Edinburgh and I was lucky enough to have a taste of his chicken congee! The authentic flavour and great consistency sent me home on my first mouthful. Looking forward to the chef's next dish while he's in town!

Delicious and hearty/homey food! You can tell the ingredients are sourced fresh. Would recommend 10/10. I recommend the kimchi fried rice.

Wow! Just wow! I showed up at 830pm and knocked on the door. I waited for a few minutes and I was about to leave, but just as I was about to give up... my life changed. Mama Andy came to the door, invited me to the back, and the culinary extravaganza began. I don't want to ruin the surprise. Just keep knocking.

After reading reviews I sincerely want to go...it's the kind of dinner out I would really love to partake in.....but.....there is a review that indicates the diner was also interested but was unsure he was at right place.. he quietly knocked...the written response from owner is disingenuous and very off-putting...I want to go but wouldn't want to intrude...even with a damaged heart that could be misinterpreted as not good of heart by owner

Hate giving a one star without eating the food but thought I should let people know that I showed up at 8pm and no one came to the door, despite lights being on. Was excited to see what this was all about but maybe it's not a thing anymore?

Don't bother, this place literally does not exist. Went by on a Friday evening, and 99 Charles is just a random house with the lights off...

Had heard a lot about Mama Andy's, and I'm delighted to say that the place not only lived up to — but exceeded — all expectations. The food is warm and lovely; the ambiance even more so.Mama Andy is a gracious host and fed us the most meticulously seared fillet of A5 wagyu, accompanied with a truffle-infused pommes puree. Suffice to say that we will be returning regularly to partake in the gastronomic odyssey that is Mama Andy's.One tip: Patience is the key. Since it's a one-person operation (which adds to the quaint charm of the place), sometimes it might take a while for Mama Andy to answer the door. Be patient and try to reach there by 10pm.
