They just completed our full basement of about 950 SF including a 3 piece bath, bedroom and open concept family room with gas fireplace.We are extremely pleased with the workmanship and professionalism of Premier.The quotes were very detailed and accurate and the final accounting left no board unturned.We told Greg we wanted the same standards as our current home upstairs and they followed those and more.Their crew and contractors were all very profession, as tidy as possible, courteous and respectful.The schedule slipped a bit but I compare trying scheduling sub-contractors to 'herding cats'! Greg did a great job meeting our demands.We have heard many horror stories from friends and acquaintances but would highly recommend Premier if you want the job done right with the least amount of disruption and surprises.

This was a result of a due diligence and a market research process - considering a number of companies from the region, which included: (1) having many site-visits; (2) obtaining competitive quotes; and, (3) comparing pluses and minuses of multiple builders.Greg McLellan from Premier Basement Builders was on site and gave us very professional advice, offering multiple options and always looking from ours (client's) point of view and honestly considering what would be in our best interest - to make the finished basement fulfil the function we had in mind. We also reviewed their Website and many artefacts of previous projects.The quote from Premier Basement Builders was the best we got. Price was within the range (not the lowest and not the highest), but what made the difference was the detailed list of individually priced work items. That gave us the opportunity to choose from clearly identified allowances and to comfortably adjust the quote (mostly asking for additional items that will meet our specific requirements). At the end, solely based on our requests, the price was actually increased - and, there were no hidden costs nor surprises.The trust and confidence in our preferred contractor was built - from day one!The work was done within the agreed-on timelines and started at the end of February of 2021 - in the middle of Covid-19 crisis. The on-site crew from Premier Basement Builders had masks-on during every interaction with us and the distance was kept according to guidelines. Any small adjustment that was required during the project was immediately acted-on and the +/- price difference was adjusted, accordingly. The crew is young, friendly, very professional and showed an exceptional customer service attitude.The work was completed as promised and we are very happy with the outcome - a beautifully finished basement done with high quality of workmanship, on time and within the budget (including all the changes and additions that we requested and approved during the execution). We called Premier for a quote on finishing a basement. Greg arrived and provided a very thorough quote. We then had 5 other companies quote us. Premier was not the least expensive but Greg was very trust worthy and his quote was very very thorough so we went with them. They were awesome. Everything was done to schedule and the basement looks fantastic. All of the staff from Premier were extremely professional and courteous I would definitely recommend them!!

Just moved to NF and had a contractor come to measure my basement for an estimate! Waited 3 months and heard nothing from him. I then called premier and am I ever happy that I did! Greg came over and was back with a quote within one week-a figure well within our budget. Premier started work shortly after and completed the job quickly! They are well organized and provided a detailed pay schedule for each step of the construction! I have never used a better contractor!

Absolutely horrible - do NOT recommend. We had a basement bathroom installed by them and everything from start to finish was installed incorrectly & unsafe (glass shower) (everything installed, walls, slate floor, glass shower, soaker tub, paint - everything was wrong). A 2-3 week project" according to them

My mother refinished her basement a few months ago now and I have been meaning to right a review. She had such a great experience working with Premier Basement Builders. She is a senior and she started the project without me, which made me a little concerned as some contractors will take advantage of someone her age with limited knowledge in renovations. They were patient in explaining things and taking her wants with what was logistically possible into consideration when coming up with a plan. I felt the pricing was fair and the quality of work was awesome. They were a little delayed in starting the project, which is to be expected in construction and to me means that they do not rush through a project just to move on to another and make more money. Supplies were readily available which has been a battle in the last few years with supply chains being at their worst in a long time. All of the workers (trades) that came in were great, and scheduled well in order to keep the project moving along. They had a great work ethic, worked hard, safe, and kept the area clean while working. She actually enjoyed them there. I would not hesitate to recommend Premier Basement Builders!!

I contact this company to give me an estimate for a legal basement apartment. A estimator named Greg came to take a look at the house. He took measurements and pictures, and I sent the architectural drawings to his email. After that visit I never heard from him again. I called and emailed several times to remind him I am still waiting for that quote and to discuss the project further. The receptionist in the office just kept stringing me along for weeks making excuses that he’s busy and I should have the quote next week. The company completely ignored me and wasted my time. If you don't want to take this job anymore, at least have the decency to let me know. This is extremely unreliable and unprofessional.

We are very pleased with the work Premier Basement Builders did. We only needed the framing and drywall done as we were looking to finish the rest ourselves. They were happy to do the partial job and fit us in quickly. Both Greg and his crew were very polite and easy to work with. We recommend them to anyone that is looking to have work done!

We can't say enough nice things about Greg and the Premier Basement team. From framing, drywall, electrical, flooring, plumbing and painting, workers were on time, clean and courteous.This was a huge investment and they delivered in every aspect. We trusted them with our biggest investment, our home, and they delivered.
