Dogtopia of Don Valley

We have taken our dog here a handful of times. The staff have been very nice. I like the use of the camera. Messes are promptly cleaned up. I like that they do a proper assessment when you start and reasses if you have not used their facility in a while.My dog has mostly been in the larger gym as she's an active dog. (She's well socialized, does well in crates and with other animals).My only feedback is that on busy days, Tuesday and Thursdays they consider having more than one person to supervise the dogs. We let the staff know to crate my dog often as she's a puppy and doesn't know how to relax but will be fine in a crate a few times during the day. We noticed on the camera (whenever I turned it on) her getting humped. She didn't look like she was having all that fun. When the humans intervened it stopped so I think if they maintained a ratio of dog to person or had the ability to correct/mitigate, I would consider frequently using the doggy day care. For now I use it for emergencies.Edit: dog back with red rashes in that belly between her legs likely from so the grabbing of other dogs :(

The staff at this location are phenomenal! I cannot say enough good things about the staff. It is quite clear that they all have a deep love of dogs. Their communication is also very good and they are quick to ensure that the dog owner is notified if there's any issue. They regularly physically check your dog over while at the facility to ensure they don't miss anything. This practice caught a minor ear nip (it happens) on my dog and they were quick to let me know and what they were doing to monitor it. Their canine coaches are also very attentive to the dogs while in the playrooms and will step in if things are escalating. They also take time to get to know the owner's dog and quite often will ask the team to get your dog by name from the room as you are walking in the door - a personal touch that goes a long way. My absolute favourite part is that my dog falls asleep almost immediately after getting in the car and basically is done for the night! My guy is now over 7 months so we have to wait until he is neutered to come back... let me put it this way, I am counting down the days haha.

Staff are always so nice and our dogs love it. Very convenient for days I have to go to the office. I know my dogs are safe and having so much fun

Lulu loves it at Dogtopia, it gives her a chance to get her exercise all in and socialize with other dogs. She is so exhausted from fun play when I bring her back home, she sleeps solid for a couple of hours which helps me get some stuff done around the house. I also love the frequent events going on which look so fun.

Staff at Dogtopia are very friendly. There are 3 rooms to separate bigger dogs from the smaller ones which is great for my pup who's almost always the smallest pup at daycare. Dexter loves the fun games and themed events, and he gets excited all the time for daycare.

Our dog had a blast at Dogtopia! The staff are super friendly and engaging with the dogs all day long!! They are very thorough when assessing your dog and the staff seem to be trained very well too. Got to watch our dog play and make some friends on the webcam, he seemed very comfortable with every one! We ended up enrolling him the same day! :)

Dogtopia knows how to keep your dog engaged and provide a good time to the pets. Simpson - staff - is a a pleasure to interact with. With live camera feed from the day care rooms, it's assuring to be able to visualize your pet. The centre is clean and looks trendy.

My high energy husky Mac and I love the staff. He's been with Don Valley Dogtopia since he was 10mos and now he's 3yrs. I credit Don Valley Dogtopia for his positive socialization with other dogs, helping him sensitize towards human touch near his back legs, helping him getting back into the swing of play and REST after recovering for an injury (this is huge, noting his breed type), and overall just making mine and his life better. Mac even did CCCT training and he isn't jumping nearly as much, AND his recall has improved a lot. THANK YOU DON VALLEY DOGTOPIA!!!

Great staff, love the live feed. Since he has started attending, Conan has started to become social with other dogs instead of being skittish.

We have a very high energy pup and needed a new activity for her. I was hesitant at first as I feel that my puppy's excitement might be a bit much to deal with. Hazel walked in and greeted everyone and they were so receptive with her, you can really tell everyone loves dogs there. The staff at Dogtopia Don Valley were so pleasant to deal with and they reassured me she would be fine after meeting her. We loved the live streaming and the fact Vanessa was so thorough with explaining the facilities. She exceeded our expectations! I had a bunch of questions but she sure went through all of them as she went through the tour. It was an overall great experience from the reasonable call back times/follow up calls, tours, midday call to let us know how our dog was, and smooth pick-up. Just after one session her puppy nibbling habits have decreased significantly. Thank you again!
