J-Town

Amazing selection of Japanese groceries, sauces and staples of Japanese cooking. My at home ramen game has gone up a level thanks to shopping at J town. It’s a cool grocery store, but it’s a whole little compound of Japanese cuisine. There’s a bakery, a fishmonger, a butcher and an izakaya restaurant in the complex too. Great place for a visit. I took some desserts and an egg salad sandwich on fluffy white milk bread home to have later ;)

Popular place for Japanese food. Multi stores with small food court, you can pick the food you like. The problem is not enough seats, you may have difficulty with kids. Price could be on the higher side.

I came to J-Town with my family to visit the Japanese cake shop called Yuzu No Ki and order a birthday cake.It was nice to have a walk around this place. Although it’s not very big, but they do have all kinds of Japanese food that you may need on your grocery list. They have fresh meat, seafood, sashimi, sushi, bentos, bread, vegetables and dried goods etc... The price is not cheap but you may find something special here that cannot be found elsewhere.I enjoyed the feel of Japan here. It was calm and relaxing. I was able to take nice photos of the maples hanging there. It wasn’t too crowded even on weekends so if you want to grab some Japanese food to go, why not stop by J-Town.

Love their Japanese curry here. home made curry with slow poached egg. their fries options are well made and full in flavour. definitely good for lunch here. reasonable pricing most lunch items are under $20

An emporium of Japanese market, featuring many bakeries, Wagyu Beef shop, sushi counters, bottled and canned goods & sauces, plus household items. Within the complex, there are also many small eateries cafes and restaurants.

Absolutely love this place. So many great shops and deli. As someone trying to broaden into Japanese cuisine, the shops have all the ingredients I could need. Amazing service each time. This has become a return trip every time I'm in Markham.

First time been there very nice. A little bit expensive. But is good place know Japan culture hahahha

I love it. They have grocery, cafe, bakery and cosmetics too. It's small space but I think 4 or 5 eating places are there. Inside grocery (Heisei mart") one is until 3pm. But

Love going here!! The staff here are so nice and helpful, and the sashimi and other seafood produce is fantastic. I always come here for my seafood fix. Can't wait to come back again soon!

A small Japanese mall plaza that feels a bit depressing sometimes. It is old and hard to navigate between shops and the selection of products isn’t amazing. I find the T&T supermarket 5 minutes away offers more variety on Asian/Japanese goods and at better prices than here.It’s very quiet and prices are reasonable. Not exactly cheap for imported goods but not exactly super expensive either. Worth a short visit if you are bored.
