McConnell Arena

Not the best, but kind of a good ice sometimes. There are other times where there is water on the ice... Parking very complicated to access and in a very bad shape, as well as the condition of University avenue on the way to the parking!!

Comparing this McGill arena to the MacDonald campus arena, this one is modern and luxurious. It is by the side of Mont Royal Park, among a collection of other McGill sport facilities. It is near the upper residence dormitory and became a heaven for foreign students to learn skating while studying at McGill. This arena is the official arena for the university teams, and it is the only one open to many in the Montreal downtown area. The other downtown area arena is the Bell Center which is the home of the NHL Montreal Canadians.

Decent ice rink. Lots of space, no complaints.

Running away from a signed contract because they don’t want “people like us” to their venue for a dubstep event. Thanks, McGill.

After over 20 years of attending hockey games in this arena it still brings back many good memories

Pros:It's McGill's home stadium?!?!Ice is okay.Not a very popular or used arena.The rooms are decent, if not dated.Cons:Horrible location.Parking is not free, most of the time.Difficult to find your way around, especially where to park (go towards the Royal Victoria Hospital, the side where the emergency is found. This will bring you to the back side of Molson Stadium, you will see the parking lot entrance on the right).The rink is cold, much colder than the average cold rink.The ice crew are not very responsible. They started to make the ice while the game ended, and within 20 seconds of giving the two teams to meet at center ice to shake hands, the Zamboni was already up the ice. C'mon guys, really? You can't wait 60 seconds?

Equipment manager named Bruno threatened kids repeatedly. I think there's something mentally wrong with him. Not the sort of person you want handling customers. Like Small Man Syndrome, you know? Put a bad taste in my mouth. Also was kicked off the ice immediately after game and had almost zero time to warm up.

Great rink. The rink attendants are superb. They always have a smile on their faces. Food is a little pricey. Atmosphere is A+++.

Pretty nice arena. Spacious locker rooms, good ice quality. Nets are not anchored

For an arena, it's not spectacular or anything. Wooden seats with no cushions, minimal leg room. The food is also very expensive and mediocre. However, still a great atmosphere for hockey and other ice sports
