Do not use this moving company! It would be worth more to you to do all the manual labor and driving yourself even if it's across the continent! Lies, deceit, false hope, empty promises is the only thing I'm getting from this moving company.They also prematurely labelled my inventory as all damaged! 350$ extra charge for living on the fourth floor with no elevator.They came to pick up my stuff earlier than they said they would and now it's been almost two weeks later than they said they would drop it off. They have had my home office for almost 2 months now when their original quote was 2-6 days.I start a new job on Monday with nothing but the clothes on my back. I was just informed today that my truck would not be leaving Toronto for Halifax until next Tuesday when I have in writing them telling me the truck had left October 31st. I still don't have my stuff and right now I'm waiting for Liz to call me back. I Expect full compensation. Do not choose this company!

I have been using Kingsway Van Lines for the past four years. They are a very professional moving company with a lot of experience in the industry. I know that they will take care of all my belongings and ensure that they arrive safely at my new house.

I got in touch with these guys for a move from Calgary, AB to Ottawa, ON. The sales rep, David, communicated through email and was very professional and responsive. The movers showed up on-time on the date and time I had arranged with David. I didn't hear much after my things were taken, which was unsettling at first as it was about 1 1/2 to 2 weeks, but David remained responsive and reassuring. I received a call from Liz about four days before my requested drop off date in Ottawa and she let me know the status of my shipment and arranged a time for when my belongings would be dropped off; I requested May 1, but they could only do May 2, which wasn't too much of an inconvenience for me. David then got in touch with the invoice about a day later and processed everything. A day before the drop off date, someone from Kingsway called me to let me know the drop off timeframe would actually be two hours earlier; a much appreciated heads-up. The day of the drop off, the movers called to let me know they were 30 minutes away, which occurred within the timeframe provided. The movers, who were very friendly, showed up about 25 minutes later and unloaded my things into my apartment quickly and carefully. Nothing went missing, nothing was damaged (including my expensive guitars and amp), and everything went according to what they told me.I'll be honest, I was very surprised things went as well as they did given all the reviews, but I have to give them credit; they handled my move like champs and there were absolutely no surprises.

Worst moving experience I have ever had. To say the least this company is a giant scam. I was moving from Ottawa to Toronto & was choosing between multiple companies & they were the only ones who had more availability (now I see why) although they answered phone calls promptly & friendly don't be fooled. First of all they were hours late for pick up. Only giving notice the day before what time pickup is which is super inconvenient when moving cities. They gave a time frame window of 5-7pm and showed up at 8:30pm. Entirely unprofessional. Upon delivery they attempted to over charge me - not only for the weight but for an apparent warehouse holding fee which was not outlined anywhere in the contract. They wouldn't bring items in or even let you see them without paying for the move in full. Upon unloading my items I discovered all the damages. They delivered over $500 worth of BRAND NEW furniture broken. A glass vase, a brand new double dresser, pictures, decorations & a mirror etc.. They took over a month to get back to me about it and offered me a laughable amount of $30 coverage claiming it was my responsibility to get coverage when I was never clearly offered this by a representative directly. When I attempted to come to a conflict resolution (this move has now costed me over $1,000 for damaged items / moving cost itself) maya the head of their claims department refused to come to a compromise so I am filing a complaint with the BBB. I 100% recommend not going with this company they will damage your items & attempt to over charge you in any way possible. Absolutely terrible moving experience!!
