Canadian Tire

Went to get pea gravel and an outdoor floodlight. No lights on the shelf, waited ages for assistance. Sales associate went into the back, disappeared for over 30 minutes! There were only two associates working the ENTIRE store, and one on cash. So many frustrated customers looking for help, no one around. Got to the cash and paid for the rocks, only to head outside to discover they didn't actually have any!! Had to wait in a big line to get refunded.If you don't have enough staff, don't open the doors. Likely won't be too long before folks figure out there isn't staff, and start shoplifting. Bad plan. Worst retail experience in a long time. Normally I don't expect great service at CT (compared to other hardware retailers), but this time was really, really bad.

I enjoy this Canadian Tire, what I find appalling are some of the customers and their children walking around asking women if they are men. If you have no respect for people in the community stay home. Do not bring your rude horrible children out in public and maybe teach them some manners. To have little boys looking at my breasts and commenting of what they think is my gender is insulting. I was born a women, a fat little women, out shopping with my husband and children. What has happened to our community? I am disgusted.

So I needed to pick up a pair of shoes, I was going right by with 10 minutes time. I walk in find that section. Very poor selection, like 2 pairs of every style maybe. So I grab the one I want but it's the wrong size, so I walk the whole store looking for a staff member to ask if they have my size. Not a single one around so I went to checkout, waited in line, asked clerk about it. She was helpful enough other than her store device was not working and wouldn't scan the item. She found someone with a working device after a while and they still said they have to go look in the warehouse. So I wait another 10 minutes they come back tell me they got them in just 2 days ago and it will be a minute til they find a size 12, which they only had one pair of in a whole shipping. I wait another 10 minutes they come back and tell me it's like looking for a needle in a haystack. Well good morning. That's not my problem. I still ended up going out the door with a size too small 30 minutes later. Let's just say I'm never going back

Totally disappointed with their customer service. Dropped my car last week and they called me and said that the car needs new battery alternator. Also, the guy over the phone said that it might need a new battery but they will call me for that if needed. Got a call after 2 days that your car is ready but when I went to pick the car I was surprised that how come they charging me this much and the guy told that they had replaced the battery too. I asked that I never got a call regarding this and they had no words to say and just said I’m so sorry we forgot about that. Sorry doesn’t works for extra $450 bucks (that too without informing).

Need to take better care of price tags in the isle and make sure they are correct! bought AC recharge kit here today, In the isle was posted $49, at checkout she charged me $90!! And said that's what the price was.

This store is awesome. It has great selection of products and has a lot of stock. Great products and quality products. Store is clean very well laid out.

Staff here are friendly which is why I am rating one star at all…. However, I bought “medium quality” rear brake pads recommended by shop staff here, and haven’t even got 10,000km out of them over the span of <1 year. They are at 2mm, meanwhile the other set on the front of the vehicle have 8mm and were changed at the same time, with new routers on both front and back as well. CT only offers a 30-day warranty. Waste of money. The store should back up the products they sell and manufacture (pro-series brakes). My mechanic struggled to get these off and said they were likely a defective set. See pictures.

I always find this store to be clean, organized and usually spot on when using the app to find items you are searching for. An area of improvement could be for the staff to always be willing to drop whatever task they are working on in order to assist customers. Staff here are very friendly but feel they need to be approached rather than greeting customers in their area and asking them if they need assistance.

Editted, original review below.Unfortunately, I was back this past Saturday only to find out the Manager has evicted the market from the parking lot. Should have known better to trust these guys cared about small business owners. Bright side the venders haven't moved far!Beyond that, time to return to other stores, sorry Canadian Tire, get someone in here that cares about upholding there promises-----------------------------I was at this location this past weekend (Saturday May 13) and heard a cashier make an odd comment asking if there were any PAYING customers" which I thought was odd
