Pros: shareable tapas style food, big drink menu, creative flavour combinationsCons: not accessible entrance, price adds upOur favourite dish was the tostada. It was piled pretty high with toppings and had a good spice from the sauce and jalapeños. I also liked the mushroom dumplings. They tasted fresh and juicy, and were paired with an interesting sauce sort of like Thai coconut curry. My mum liked the Chinese broccoli and the sweet purée it was served with. I would skip the wakame next time because it was the traditional dish and this is a place to try something more experimental.

This was my first experience at Funky Chow and it was just what I needed for my birthday celebration. The atmosphere is fun, the staff is friendly, and their food is soo good! I love the tapas style ...I was able to try everything I wanted without feeling like I ate too much. They surprised me with a birthday cake and made my day special. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Good Ambience and loved the place for dinner and everyone loved the crispy chicken and the Bao , very selective menu but authentic taste and will go again. So highly recommend this place with friends and family

Unique spot, unique menu. I was with a group, and we ordered a variety of menu items... too many fried menu items for my personal taste, but I appreciate the creative approach and interesting flavours. We didn't try much sushi but loved the Hawaiian poke bowl. Karaage (fried chicken) was good... when is fried chicken not good, though? Service was friendly, explained the menu well, and made good recommendations for a group (of dietary needs/preferences). Interesting atmosphere with a fun vibe. Side note, the ventilation wasn't great, so left smelling like fried food.

Probably my favourite spot in all of Windsor. The place has a great vibe and outgoing, fun staff. But let’s be real - the most important parts are the food and drinks in which they are KILLING it. My fiancé and I have gone multiple times for date night, double date night and family night. I think I’ve suggested this restaurant to about every person I know. This spot is unlike anything else in our town and that’s a great thing. I’d say we’ve tried almost every item on the menu - including drinks and were never disappointed- more so, we May even LOVE 95% of what we try. Side note * yes, portions are small BUT the food and drinks and ambiance is just so great that even though the bill adds up I think people would be thrilled to spend that money (unless they’re not foodies like myself). Here are some photos solely from last night: sorry some have already been picked at! Not pictured and just realizing now is their beef tataki, solely due to the fact that I inhale it upon arrival. It is a MUST TRY. Hope you enjoy as much as I do!

Loved my experience at Funky Chow! I do recommend going with 4 people. It's a great way to try out most of their food since it's a tapas style! Food came out really fast and the service was amazing. Really great atmosphere all around! I almost loved all the food lol, we did mention to our server Jake that the Dan Dan noodles was really salty and since we didn't really eat it, the noodle was taken out of our bill. If your someone that loves food like me, this is the place to visit! Highly recommend for the next date night.

Since Funky Chow opened, I've been told several times that I would love it. Now regret I didn't go sooner because I can't wait to return to try more dishes from their menu. A friend and I shared five tapas (small shareable items) while enjoying a couple of cocktails and loved each and every one of them. Totally creative menu!

I've been looking for a good poke bowl since I came back from my Hawaii trip several months ago, and I finally found one I enjoy in Windsor at Funky Chow Kitchen! From what I tried in Windsor, other places have a very small amount of tuna compared to the portion of veggies&rice and/or the sauce was not very tasty, but the poke bowl here was made just right!I love the vibe here too!Reason for removing 1 star is it was quite pricey for the portion size I received. I don't have a big appetite, but still felt hungry after a $24 poke bowl. Also I was with 2 friends and we received our foods at completely different times. I assume this was because this place is more of a bar to grab drinks + shareable snacks rather than a formal sit down restaurant, however for the prices they charge I would expect them to be mindful of these details.Make sure to make reservations if you are going, because it is a very popular place even on a Thursday night!

Wow! We greatly enjoyed our time at Funky Chow. We came with a large group and the waitress did a great job taking care of us. One member of our party had allergies and the staff took the time to discuss, consult with the chef, provide options and create a perfect meal.Everything we ate was fantastic! Our favorite dishes were the fried chicken, pork buns, and pork tenderloin.This place is a must try!
