Dutchman Florist

We were recommended to the Dutchman Florist to purchase flowers for our mother's funeral. Grace was very knowledgeable and guided us using her expertise and experience. We trusted her to make the decisions and the flowers were absolutely stunning. The weather was unusually hot and the flowers held up beautifully. Thank you to Grace Shantz and The Dutchman Florist!

Not happy at all. Ordered a 50th Anniversary bouquet, they asked if I wanted all yellow, I said no, a nice mix of flowers. Delivered them and left on front porch, uncovered, just wrapped in cellophane paper. If my sister had not gone outside for mail she would not have found them. Plus they were all yellow flowers with a bit of greenery. Less than a week the flowers were dead. I called to complain and talked to manager who was not very nice, very short with me. I have ordered before and never any issues so not sure why now but it will be my last order for this florist. Also receptionist answers the phone by just saying hello". It's a business so answer as one."

We went to Grace at Dutchman Florist to assist us with choosing our wedding flowers Grace helped us pick exactly what we needed and the costs were way less than anything else we looked into. Grace made sure our order was ready on time and packaged safely for the ride to the hotel where we were staying the night before our wedding. Our flowers were gorgeous and I received many compliments on them.

These flowers were $145 … the arrangement was truly disappointing. I’m not too sure if you can even call this an “arrangement,” it looked rushed, uninspired, and lazy. The flowers themselves were not fresh: the roses fell flat and the petals were scuffed and scratched. It was simply not handled with care. These flowers were ordered online, and I understand that the image online is used an inspiration/idea, but I can’t justify how these flowers amount to $145. I reached out to explain my dissatisfaction and the customer service was condescending and unhelpful.

I have been ordering bouquets from Dutchman Florist for about three years and have historically, always been impressed and happy with the arrangements I receive. Unfortunately, in recent times, the arrangements I have been receiving are disappointing. I recently paid $75 for a bouquet from Dutchman Florist and was surprised to find it full of daisies and carnations (inexpensive and rather boring looking flowers, in my opinion). At another florist I frequent in Toronto on Avenue Road, I paid $80 for a bouquet in May of this year that was full of ranunculus, roses, and dahlias. For roughly the same price, I was given shockingly different quality and value of flowers. I understand I am also paying for the florist’s resources including their time and labour when ordering flowers but I also expect a bouquet of that value to include the beautiful and pricier stems. All of this to say, I am a little upset by the quality of bouquets Dutchman Florist is now putting together and caution you of this when looking for your next bouquet. If you are looking for stunning arrangements, I am no longer sure this is the place.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!I ordered Mother's day flowers a few days ago (May 9, 2023)from this place to be delivered today(May 13, 2023-day before Mother's day as they are closed tomorrow). I was surprised my mother still hadn't recieved her flowers and it was already 6pm . I called the flower shop and just spoke to such a rude woman on the other end of the line. I just wanted to know what was going on and she let her frustrations out on me saying the roads are slow and there's a lot of orders and 25 other people are calling her too ".I don't care what other people are doing or how busy you are

Grace and Carolyn both helped me with my floral arrangements and decor for my wedding day!!!!! They were incredibly professional, kind, accommodating, caring, and attentive to every detail. I honestly could not be anymore happy with how everything turned out!!!! They worked so hard to make sure that our vision and day turned out perfectly!!!! Thank you so much! I would recommend them to anyone for any occasion. Love you both!! Thank you for all of your hard work ! <3

I wanted to extend an extra special thank you to Dutchman Florist for making such gorgeous floral arrangement for my partner. The florist paid very close attention to detail and the flower choices are just stunning. I could not be happier with my purchase. Excellent service!

Went into the flower shop at approximately 12:00pm (noon) on Saturday. My young son and I were looking for a flower bouquet for my Aunt’s 70th birthday. The lady who served us was very knowledgeable about flowers and plants. She didn’t mind my 6-year-old boy asking lots of questions. She was friendly and efficient. She listened to my desire for a bouquet with a variety of long-lasting pink flowers. And my son wanted to include a couple roses. She was careful to respect the budget that I set as well. I was very happy with the beautiful result. You could tell that the flowers were very fresh and well cared for. I will definitely be back for future occasions. I think my Aunt was very surprised and pleased with her birthday bouquet. Pictures attached!

I walked in and said I need flowers for a funeral, make something big and red and white and this is how much I want to pay.Grace looked at me like I was nuts. The arrangement she created was breathtaking. All of the wreaths and arrangements at the funeral home from Dutchman's were a work of art,just stunning!
