Overhang Adventures

Went on the intro to camping weekend in Algonquin (25-27 Aug 2017), absolutely fantastic weekend! Amir and Sam were fabulous guides who really knew their stuff and put amazing effort into working with the group dynamic and generally making sure we had a great time. Sam's food was delicious and couldn't have asked for more. Great introduction to basic camping skills and canoeing, only wish it could've been longer! :)

Overhang Adventures' Fear of Falling Clinic was a HUGE step forward in my progression to be a better rock climber. This course is definitely a gateway to overcome your fear of falling, the rest is up to you to continue working on it and maintain momentum. My experience was fantastic and Amir was the right person to do this with. He's absolutely patience, respectful and not pushy, yet got you to challenge yourself to stand at the edge of (or within) your comfort zone giving you the choice to take the plunge or not. Each exercise done at your own pace. I highly recommend this encouraging and exhilarating clinic.

If it wasn't for Amir's passionate encouragement, I would never have dreamt of Rock Climbing! Not only Amir is knowledgeable and experienced but he knows how to make novice and inexperienced people like me not to feel bad. Thank you Amir and Jules, you guys rock!!

I had a great experience taking the Advanced Wilderness First Aid course through Overhang Adventures. The course was very informative and I learned a lot. The best part was the full weekend of scenarios in a wilderness setting that mimicked what most people in the outdoor industry would encounter and have to prepare for. The instructor was very attentive to any and all questions that were asked and made sure everyone in the course was on the same page before moving to the next topic.

I did a 3 day canoe trip with Overhang Adventures to Algonquin park in July 2016. It was an amazing experience. Amir and the rest of his team were super knowledgable and experienced. They made the whole process simple and fun! The equipment they provided was top notch, they provided delicious food, and planned great camping activities. I would highly recommend Overhang Adventures for anyone who is interested in a guided canoe trip to Algonquin. I'm definitely considering them for future trips to other parks in Ontario.

I had the time of my life on a whitewater canoeing trip with Overhang! We got to go down some really intense rapids, a bit scary but our guide Amir kept his cool and navigated us through like a pro. At night they had some delicious food for us to enjoy around the campfire together, the guides kept us entertained with a string of riddles, jokes, and even some live music with an acoustic guitar! Would highly recommend Overhang to anyone looking for a real adventure!

Prior to taking a climbing course with Overhang Id only ever climbed indoors in Toronto. Amir took me outside and taught me a thing or two.. : building anchors, setting quick draws, cleaning routes… as well as proper use of gear.. some common misconceptions regarding safety .. and lots more.Amir, was very knowledgeable and safety conscious as well as patient and encouraging… and cool as a ever.. He made it fun! If you're looking for a great experience and to learn a lot-Amir is the guy. I'll be sure to return for future courses with OA.:)

Our group of 4 had an absolutely epic 4-day canoe trip in Algonqion with Amir (founder of Overhang). He was super friendly, warm, knowledgeable and patient - just a really great guy. The trip was an amazing experience, and something we'll look back on with smiles for many years. The park is beautiful, and while the portaging is hard work; it's such a great way to explore. Considering how much planning, gear, and guidance went into the trip, the pricing represents tremendous value. Highly recommended!
