I took a beginners sewing class this past Sunday. I learned so much in such a short period of time (3 hrs)!!! It has really gone a long way in helping me feel like sewing something is totally within my abilities. The teacher was wonderful, and the small class size helped her to give each one of us encouragement and personal attention. If you are thinking about taking a class here - do it! You won’t be sorry!

I attended a basic serger class last night and it was so great! I learned So much and feel so much more confident to have fun with my serger now! The instructor Liz was so patient to go step by step through all you might need to know to not be afraid of your serger. The small class of 5 was nice to be able to ask questions. Liz also went ‘overtime’ with some extra fun tips❤️This was my first time at the store and I will be definitely coming back to shop and attend classes! Thank you for a great class

Beginner sewist here. I am so happy to support this shop with some online shopping, curb side pickup and a bit of in store shopping too. This store is well stocked with everyhh thing you need whether you’re starting out or picking the hobby back up.The staff are highly organized and extremely helpful. I’m so glad a brick and mortar store like this exists that I can support. Looking forward to returning in the future as my skills I develop. Thanks for a great (and safe) experience!*Parking tip: stash your vehicle at the municipal lot on Mulberry - just a short walk from the shop.

The best fibre expertise and enthusiasm about patterns and projects. Love Needlework! My go-to for special fabrics for garments that I want to last a long time and get a lot of wear.

Easily one of my favourite places in the city. Both of the owners are so kind and helpful, as are all of their staff. I've purchased fabric and notions and taken (a lot of) classes. From a pillow case to a full-blown jumpsuit, every class I've taken has been well-paced and so so helpful in kicking off my sewing journey.I went from knowing next to nothing about sewing to owning my own machine and comfortably sitting down to sew. I've even begun gifting some of my projects, and none of this would have been possible without the support and inspiration of the women at Needlework. If you've ever thought about sewing, are interested in tackling a quilt or making your own clothes, this is the place to start.
