Best Western Plus Village Park Inn

It was a wonderful experience for my grandmother and I.I have requested for a higher floor to avoid noise, just in case,as well as an accessible bathtub chair. Both were fulfilled by the staff at no extra cost. The room was clean and beautiful, large flat-screen TV, 2 queen beds, a lounge chair by the large windows, a refreshing and incredible city view, access to balcony,amazing breakfast buffet, and classical interiors with lounges on the pool and jacuzzi.They have two restaurants on-site, I've requested for an extra water bottle for the room and the staff had the wonderful initiative to do a housekeeping service even if we're only there for 2 nights.On top of that, I was very pleased about the Rockies Bar & Grill menu: they have Mexican, Western, and Indian cuisine.My family very much enjoyed the food there, the amenities,and most importantly, the hospitality of the staff.We had a great vacation and experience in this hotel.Thanks, Best Western Village Park Inn!We'd love to stay there again in the future!

Amazing hotel I booked my room online 30 min before getting to the hotel. When we arrived we got our room upgraded from the first floor to the forth floor as well as a queen suit to a double queen suit with no up charge. Also the hotel has underground parking that came complimentary rewards card. The front desk receptionist was very welcoming, kind and helpful, he was easy to talk to and wasn’t afraid to crack jokes with us and play alone with our unique humour. He also sing us up for their membership for free and let us know on all the perks we get with it. The hotel is really clean and has an amazing interior. Sadly we didn’t have time to enjoy the swimming pool, and the breakfast but the food looked and smelt amazing. The furniture in the room was fresh and up to date however the bathroom is not the most spacious but it’s still good for someone on the go, as well as they provided with a full bottle of shampoo and conditioner which not many hotels do. Overall we loved our stay at this hotel and is definitely one of our top picks when we come back to the city :D

The absolute worst stay I have ever had at a hotel. Booked online as we were headed back from Jasper so prepaid for room. Woke up the next morning got showered and were just getting dressed at 10am when cleaning staff just walked into our room while we were changing(we booked for two nights and clearly hadn’t checked out). Second night hotel was full of college sports teams running and partying in the halls. Front desk staff had numerous complaints and still couldn’t get it under control. Noise didn’t stop until almost 1130pm. Hotel staff said they can’t do anything as hotel room was prepaid. Hotel has a cool set up with middle being open but because of that everyone hanging out in the hallways just echoes everywhere.Room was great. Beds super comfy. Clean.

The rooms were decent and clean although I found them very noisy. Bathroom was very small but ok. The service at the front desk was not great. When I came to check in, there was quite a long line up at the desk and there were two women working although one of them wasn’t helping people check in (seemed to be some sort of supervisor). She was on the phone a lot, and loudly declared that she was dealing with a crisis. I understand she was under stress, but she Didn’t seem to handle it very well. It would have made sense for her to help deal with the line up rather than calling people to upgrade their rooms while she had a long lineup. The one woman who was helping people seemed very new and was very slow. I made a comment to the people in line behind me that the service was very slow. And after I finally checked in, parked my car and was coming back in the ‘supervisor’ yelled across the lobby at me “Sorry that there was such a long wait earlier.” It was an odd way to Address the situation with me and quite embarrassing actually. It would have made more sense for her to say that while I was actually waiting in line - or better yet, help deal with the line rather than yelling at me across the lobby later. The parking is a bit odd; you have to park around the side or back of the building and then drag your suitcase quite a long ways as there is only one entrance. I’m not sure what people do in the winter. Location was good if you need to be near one of the post secondary schools. Not sure I would stay here again though.

I stayed here for one day due to bathroom renovations at my house. The Google reviews for this place are good. However, this place is next to a major road, so the outside building was messy. I used the elevator to enter the room, fortunately the place was clean and looked good. After checking in, I went into the room. Rusty water came out of the bathroom sink and bathtub in my room. So, for a while, I was able to use clean water except for rust water. This is a cheap accommodation for the price including breakfast, but I will not come back here. And at breakfast time, the staff was carrying the juice stand, and the juice spilled on the floor, and the juice also flowed on my feet wearing slippers. The staff turned around without an apology and didn't seem to come right away to wipe up the juice spilled on the floor. I often use 'Best Western' when I travel. I have always given them good review scores. However, this place was given the worst rating.

We had an awful experience. We had a horrible day. We had some confusion at check-in - which was met by a confrontational front staff member. Christina needs to be trained properly in hospitality. It wasn't acceptable for her to speak down to us as though we were lesser than. When we were trying to explain things, she rolled her eyes and said that we could simply leave or step aside if we were going to continue on." There wasn't a single comment or tone that warranted that reaction. We finally got things sorted and made our way to the room. The bathroom was cramped and the door was old and peeling. Very busy and established place. There is a reason why. Staff have been here for awhile and I am fairly new , but I love it here. Helping guests, showing them a great dining experience, and always there to help them with whatever they need or anticipate they might need. We, are at least I know I want your stay with us to be one to be remembered In a positive way. Sometimes that vacation, long or short, we want it to be one of your best. Look elsewhere. Booked into this hotel as we sold out home and in a transition phase. Only part that was a semi pleasurable was the check in and out process. Front desk was kind and courteous but beyond that I would recommend looking elsewhere. The rooms were clean upon first inspection. I have worked as a housekeeper previously Nd know the procedures when doing checkouts. The carpet had a slimy/ sticky feeling to them. Breakfast was ok but left much to be desired. Staff was quick to clean up the messy plates but noticed alot of food going to waste my guess is due to the taste was not close to what the food idem should be. The only option for someone looking for real food is 1 tray that is sometime there with cut melons. Was woken in the middle of the night to the neighbors dog barking and him trying to tell the dog to be quiet. Another night guests were partying and smoking week on the wrap around deck which all the rooms on that floor has access to. Was trying to put my baby to sleep at night and could not happen due to the loud yelling and partying at the pool. After spending a month in my house preparing to move was looking for some rest but was welcomed to probably the worst stay I can say I've ever had at a hotel. Not to mention the pool was as cold as a polar bear dip. My son was trying to swim and I had to get him out as he was shivering and lips were blue.

The first time I stayed at this Best Western Plus was at the beginning of 2022. I was originally a little bit underwhelmed during my first stay. I stayed in a single queen room but I felt that the bathroom was really outdated, particularly the shower/tub.But I booked again a few more times in 2022 and grew to absolutely LOVE this location. I have stayed in the single king room, queen room & king executive(?) suite. The suite is absolutely incredible, there is a glass & marble bathroom & the shower has like 10 shower heads along the wall with a variety of stream features. It is simply amazing and feels like a spa. There is also a jacuzzi tub, however I didn’t get to test it out.There is a HUGE beautiful table and chairs for hosting & full living room sectional. The king bed is in a separate bedroom and is incredibly beautiful. The kitchenette is perfect as well.There is an agent 24/7 at the front desk & the complimentary breakfast is DELICIOUS!!!!Being able to gain best western rewards is a wonderful bonus & I love when there are promotional booking months where I can gain extra points.The location is perfect if you’re wanting to hit up McMahon stadium because it is literally right across the street.

Came to Calgary for a Stampeders football game and decided to give the Village Park Inn a try.Directly across from the Stadium, which is super convenient. Friendly staff and a nice free breakfast. Has a pool and a hot tub. And, despite being near 2 rather busy roads, very quiet.Overall, a great experience. Would recommend and will return.
