This is a lovely, forested spot and a beach access. There are eagles, deer and ravens aplenty. There are other parks and beach accesses off icarus as well. They too are worth checking out. Kids and dogs also enjoy these parks. There are dog off leash" areas. Children are not subject to leash rules unless completely unruly

A wonderful off leash park to walk my dog and enjoy the ocean and the view beyond. At low tide there is plenty of sand for my dog to get a good run. One of the better Nanaimo off leash parks.

Perfect place to bring your dog of all sizes. This is an off leash dog park located north nanaimo along the beach below a quiet well off neighborhood.Be respectful and use the dog waste bags provided.Best during low tide as there is plenty of sand for your snoopy to run!

This is a dog friendly beach and never very crowded. Pick up after your dog and keep it open for the canines.

Beautiful beach with great stairs down for exercise and an off-leash dog park. Best to go to Blueback if you don't want to be around dogs.

Really nice looking park with a great view and an even greater walk. Pretty spacious walk at the beginning of the park but beware of dog poo as this is a prime spot for dog walkers. The place is quite kept and maintaned which is great as there are no trash to be seen. Its also has a quick access to the beach for anyone to see some great nanaimo sands. Be careful as there is a broken section of the steps, so just watch your steps when going down. Parking is very limited to nonexistant as you will be taking street parking and its near residential houses and estate. But all in all a great spot for some r and r or a dog walk.

Lots of shore to explore. Off leash dog area. No washrooms though, so be prepared for that! Also very steep access by stairs, though the stairs are in good repair and are sturdy.
