On my recent visit to Medability in Markham I was greeted with courtesy and professionalism. I had many questions about purchasing a scooter for my mother and the staff was able to answer them all and go through many options with me. They were extremely helpful and certainly put my mind at ease. I was able to come away with photos of the different models which I could share with my mother. I would recommend a trip to Medability to anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation.

Rose, Don, and the whole team at MEDability have exceeded our expectations. We needed a stairlift for my dad, and after meeting with several other companies, we decided to go with MEDability. We're happy that we did. They helped us through the entire process. They were patient and took the time to ensure that we were proceeding with the best possible solution along every step of the way. They earned our trust rather quickly. Rose and Don both treated our project as if it were their own personal home. They really care. Highly recommended.

Just over 1 year ago we purchased a Pride lift chair from MEDability in Markham. Very helpful and very happy to take your money and offer great service.The chair was working fine until one week ago it stopped working completely.I called MEDabilty and was informed that it was under warranty, however we would have to pay $175 plus GST for a representative to check out the problem.I was asked to give them all the info required to explain what the problem was.A representative was sent out to my Mothers (95 yrs old) and assessed the problem to be a faulty control box. They could not fix on site and we were informed the chair would be fixed when the part was available.When the part came in, they called me to arrange anther appointment and informed me there would be another $152.00 to replace the defective part. Unfortunately we had no recourse but to pay again or the chair would not be repaired.This is probably one of the biggest scams I have ever dealt with.The warranty is a joke and I would recommend that purchasing a PRIDE chair is not a good idea and purchasing from MEDabilty would not be a good place to purchase these products from.It is obvious, this company is really great when buying but not so great when warranty issues arise.There are many other companies out there that provide much better service so just be aware to check these companies before even considering this company that is much more concerned with making extra money on warranty repairs than actually providing a good service. Especially to seniors that may not be able to afford their astronomical extra charges

VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE TO ANYONE. On the afternoon of Dec 21 my husband and I bought a bath chair for my 88 year old mother for $94.We asked whether it would fit any bathtub and we were told it was standard size so we decided to buy it. When we went home we opened the box and measured the chair but unfortunately it did not fit my mother's bathtub. We packed it back in the box as we found it and took it back to the store and explain our situation to the owner, telling her it was NOT USED and asking her to allow us to exchange it for a smaller size. The owner, Rose Titus, refused to even check the box and told us it couldn't be returned. We told her we were not told about their return policy and the bill did not say final sale but She still refused to try to help us out.I should mention that the store employees were having their Christmas dinner that evening and we were being rushed because they wanted to close store to go to the dinner and I believe in their rush the owner failed to let us know their return policy, her mistake, but we were penalized instead.I should also mention that we need to get a custom-made stair lift for my mother (and we told the owner about it) and we were planning to get it from this store but after having this terrible experience we will take our business somewhere else. The owner's attitude and bad customer service will cost her close to $10,000 in lost business from our family.

I was very pleased with the service received from MEDability in January and February (2022). Our rehab consultant responded quickly and professionally when I left messages, both via phone and email. The process for my mother to have a demo wheelchair before placing an order was thoroughly explained. Any time I had questions, our consultant, the company owner and the accountant all were patient, caring, thorough and professional. The turnaround time for the actual wheelchair to arrive (after all measurements were made during the demo/trial period) was very reasonable. Thank you, MEDability, for adding a new layer of safety for my mother.

I had very good service from this vendor. Specialist Pam was extremely helpful and responsive from giving me a quote for the sleeping machine, setting up appointment for me to pickup the product, providing thorough instructions, to continuous customer support.Honestly, the 3.6 google rating made me feel reluctant to walk in this store at the beginning . However, it’s an absolute pleasure working with the staffs and my machine works amazingly well. If you are looking for healthcare products, do give this store a try.

The staff at MEDability were very helpful and knowledgeable when we were looking for supports for my mother after her hip replacement. They helped us with supports to keep her in her home and make her more mobile. We installed a stairlift as well as purchased a lift chair. Rose and her team were wonderful!

I contacted the distrubtor for a bath lift searching for service / spare partsthe person I spoke to on the phone was the rudest person I have ever talked to. She sounded annoyed that I am asking for a spare part and challenged me on why i didn't just contact the company I bought the unit fromShe tells me that they don't service what they don't sell.. I asked her point blank If I should contact the distrubutor and relay that information so they will stop referring leads to them. she relucuantly said I should send her a picture of the part and maybe she can help mei would avoid the company and let others know how badly they treated a potential customer. I can see that others had bad expereince and it's not a one off situation.

Horrible, horrible service, after they mistakenly gave me the wrong product and have all my information on file won't process an exchange or even look at what the issue is without the receipt making me go home and return. Who ever deals with customer service should work on educating their staff on when to be accommodating or even just to listen before referring back to store policy. This stuff is not cheap and to have such rigid and inflexible staff, particularly Rose, who was condescending and dismissive is repulsive...thinking of those seniors and people healing people who have to deal with such hoops. Mobility is certainly as issue for many. Luckily it's not for me and will definitely not be back. Had a similar experience with crutch rental there. Likely as it's in a medical bldg is the only reason it's business is still viable and likely why customer service is not a factor.

I purchased a walker for my grandmother at this store after she had knee surgery, expecting it to be delivered a few days later. I didn't receive anything after a month. Once it did arrive we realized it was way too big and the store had ordered the wrong walker for people who are 300lbs +. I contacted the store to let them know. At this point my grandma was almost fully recovered so I asked if I can exchange it for something else. It was never used and was still in its original packaging. The employee was very short with me and a bit rude and said absolutely no returns. We also spoke with the owner of the store who only offered a regular sized walker for half off. I understand due to covid procedures things are going to be different but this was absolutely their fault and not mine. I will never shop here again.
