Pretty good sashimi at a reasonable price! Friendly staff and pretty quick service. Restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere although limited seating at the moment.

The food was okay, the service was good and the atmosphere was not good for dining. The restaurant smells bad, I liked this place very much earlier, but my recent experience was very lower than my expectations.

Be careful of black avocado in sushi rolls (it has been an ongoing issue for the past year).Since last year, we have ordered takeout from this place a few times. Among those times, there has been incidences that the avocado was blackened in some of the sushi rolls. We mentioned it to the waitress one time and she said it wasn't rotten. We decided to give them another chance so later times when we order, we would specify that the avocado should be fresh. They did okay afterwards, but today I ordered again. When I went to pick it up, I saw a blackened avocado in one of the pieces. I nicely mentioned it to the waitress, and she said that they were too busy to care about it even though they knew that it was there. Then the boss came over and simply stated that, If you are not happy

This place is so delicious and EXTREMELY reasonably priced!!! The sushi is great quality and delicious. A staple for me when I was living in the Dunbar area. I always try to stop by at least once in Vancouver!

I am local to the Dunbar area and visit Red Tuna at least 3 times a month. Their dine in experience is nice and homey and the staff are very kind. Take out is also a great option, and food is not soggy when you take out. I recommend the Nabe Udon and the Sashimi Salad as well as the Spicy Maki Combo and the Spicy Salmon Don. Portions are generous and price is fair if you compare it to other sushi restaurants in Vancouver.Red Tuna has been my favourite local restaurant for many years now. Will continue recommending this restaurant to friends and family!Edit: Don't count out the rose roll! Although expensive, it's a roll full of sashimi kept together with a thin slice of radish. It's my favourite roll!

Bland tasting. I leave 3 stars because it wasn’t anything outstanding and this franchise hasn’t really improved over the years. The packaging was nice and service alright (got takeout), but it wasn’t anything outstanding.Edit: I changed to one star because I ended up throwing up 6 times throughout the night last night and it was all from the gyoza and the fried tempura. I hate to say it but this franchise has seemingly gone down as I’ve ordered from them when they were on 65th and Granville

I eat at this restaurant regularly. I showed up 15 minutes before they closed and they denied me sit down service. Who is in the wrong? 15 minutes is a lot of time. Now they lost a regular customer.

We had Aburi Unagi Oshi and Salmon Teriyaki for a late lunch. The food was very good and service was excellent. we went in when the staff were on their break. They welcomed us and brought us delicious food in a matter of minutes. We will be back again.

Service and food was amazing! Also had the bento box before and that was great too, except their california rolls were a bit different than other places. The picture below is their pork katsu don,which was great, delicious, and filling!

Red Tuna Japanese Restaurant
Ordered aassorted tempura spider roll and Dynamite roll. Also ordered take out here about 6 months ago and 2 years ago. 2 years ago the sushi was great. The last 2x times we ordered our rolls were filled with imitation crab meat in rolls that dont usually have imitiation crab meat in them. Assorted tempura was 90% yam and sweet potato. Disappointed.
