Pure Energy Dance

Pure Energy Dance Foundation has been a home to me for one season now. As a dancer who started late and is behind in her skills and technique, I am still very much supported by all of the other dancers and teachers. This studio accommodates for ALL dancers with ALL skill levels and supports each and every one of them. Thank you for providing me with a wonderful dance home, opportunities and quality dance instruction that my old studio could not.

My daughter has been dancing at this studio for two years. In our experience, the teachers are professional and kind and the studio is very inclusive. My daughter has grown as a dancer and a person from the positive influences at Pure Energy.

My son is going on his 3rd year with this dance studio. He absoultly loves the dance teachers and the peers that attend.Very affordable with volunteering options to offset costs.

Our daughter has been with Pure Energy Dance Foundation since she was 5. She has made some really good friends from dance. The teacher's are very supportive. The facility has been upgraded to make it a great space to dance.

My daughter moved to Pure Energy after being at another studio for twelve years. She was welcomed with open arms by the other students as well as teachers. Could not be more pleased with Pure Energy.

Awesome teachers at the facility, my son and daughter is both enrolled and they look forward to the dance class every time. Very caring teacher, willing to spend the time to show parents like myself who are new to the world of dancing. Very happy to be a part of this Foundation.

Don't bring your kids here if you don't want to experience waiting outside in rain and snow and to never see them dance until recital day. Recital day is out of town in Bearspaw on a Friday at 5pm. What inconveniences for parents to take time off of work, prepare kids and, pay gas prices, travel through rush hour and pay even more ($60 dress, $35 for video/photos, $20/pp for recital) to see what your hard earned money has been meant for.There are so many ways to better manage the organization from spending $6,000 on this out of town rental, to weekly parent drop offs and pick ups, and providing us the time to see our kids dance from time to time (covid is over, so that's not a reason anymore). Organize smaller timeslots for pickups and drop offs, so you don't get a bottleneck as seen in photos. You know this recital day will come, plan way ahead and have better organization. There are large community halls and churches in the city that rents for $200 for 4 hours at a time.My suggestions to improve your business:1. Have better business planning and budget allocation2. A non-profit still has to consider the needs of its main stakeholder -> parents! Their requirements, not yours. Their opinion matters.3. Choose a location appropriately and wiselyAs a result, I do not see this organization run well and I will not move my child forward to next year. She'll be going to gymnastics instead.**Response to Non-Profit Organization:Absolutely did not try to re-register here.Don't be defensive, be better... we pay your bills.Every kid wants their parents in the room.As for the recital, I had higher expectations, especially for your senior dancers. It looked like a dance class rather than a performance.

My daughters have been dancing at Pure Energy for ten years. The teachers have fostered and encouraged their love of dance. I have watched them develop their skills and gain confidence in their abilities. They have also developed strong friendships with other students in their classes. The other parents also support and encourage all the dancers. Pure Energy is a community that welcomes dancers of all abilities and encourages them to be the best that they can be.

We had a terrible experience with this studio. Very clicky, they have a couple very sweet junior teachers - but Terry was the least welcoming. The board members were unapproachable and couldn’t keep the financials straight. I labeled a check written to them for tickets and they gave my tickets away claiming my check was for payment for jackets with my children’s names - only to pull out the jackets with no embroidered names and have the teacher confirm I had not submitted an order. Good thing my bank keeps images of checks also because it clearly said what it was for. Didn’t change the fact that we had very disappointed kids, and they took zero accountability. Super unprofessional and I’ve steered many people away from this studio and will continue to do so when asked for recommendations. Very unimpressed. So glad my girls are not there anymore.****Updated to add in response to the terrible response below***There were zero outstanding tuition fees as they were always paid up front.I volunteered many times for Bingo and Flames - and had to spend an evening paying a sitter to do so for the flames training so that I could contribute. You’re welcome.Interesting that it took you 6 YEARS to respond, at which time no apology was offered - just quotations of new irrelevant policies that had absolutely nothing to do with the horrific experience my daughters and I had.By the way - they were in Kindergarten and Preschool when you banned them. You’re awesome.All we ever wanted was acknowledgement of your gross error that affected 3 separate families. Still, all these years later - you are unable to do the right thing.Your parent run board is clicky, elitist, and cruel and clearly the mindset hasn’t changed because you are still above apologies.
