We were blessed to work with Shawn Hamilton as our realtor. He was an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish. We were looking to buy in the city for a couple months and luckily got in touch with Shawn from the get go by chance. When we finally made a trip to the city to view homes Shawn had a full plan laid out for us and made everything very easy! We are new to the area and Shawn not only worked hard around our tight schedule to show us homes he made sure to give us some of the 411 on the areas we were looking at. He never once made us feel uncomfortable or awkward as he's incredibly personable, friendly and most all direct and honest! He has extensive knowledge of the city and knows so many nice folks everywhere we went. When we had questions about a home we were looking at he was very thorough in answering them and explained everything. We had a long list of potential buys and Shawn's direct and fair advice was priceless! We ended up buying just the right home for us and Shawn made sure to connect us with great people to provide other services. He also had solid recommendations for many other things to check out. Shawn was just so easy to talk with and discuss concerns as we were house hunting. He's the kind of guy you'd want to just go golfing with. When it came to closing the deal Shawn made it all so ridiculously simple and he's 100% trustworthy to work in your best interests. He left us with a great impression of this city and its people and I wish there were more stars in this review to give. Thanks so much Shawn! Had Adam Morstad as our realtor. Down to earth, approachable, and very responsive. Me and my partner were first time home buyers and Adam made the entire process a breeze. He ensured that we had all documents, lawyers and professionals set up well before the deadline. Didn't think our first home buying experience would be done in such a short time frame, but he was able to listen and meet all of our requests!

My partner and I worked with Carmen Brewerton and have never had an experience as smooth and pleasent with a realtor before. Carmen went above and beyond the level I consider great customer service.She was punctual and told it to you straight. If she didn’t like something about a house she would let you know. It felt like she was on our side and wasn’t just trying to make a quick buck.She was up to date with her knowledge of building permits and had a knack for pointing out things you wouldn’t think of like direction of wind and how the sun would hit the house.Carmen was a treat to work with and I will be recommending her to everyone I know!

During our first time buying experience, we really didn't know which realtor we should go with. Coincidentally, (and thankfully), we met with Doug Mear. In our experience, Doug was an exceptional representative of Re/Max. He was professional, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. Our deal unfortunately fell through, but nonetheless in this difficult time, Doug was an excellent advocate and mentor throughout the process. We had Shawn Hamilton as our agent. He was to show us a house we were interested in looking at. He made it the worst experience possible. He was very rude right from the start. My daughter and I are looking at buying our first Lethbridge home. My spouse and I own a couple in taber already. He had no interest in meeting us. Never shook the hand of my daughter or her boyfriend. Never had any interest in showing or discussing the house. And when I told him that when hadn’t gotten a pre approval for the mortgage he went on to let us know that we were waiting his time then. After the whole 20 min he wasted on us showing us the house he proceeded to write my daughter a very rude test to make sure she knew that we had waisted his very precious time and that he only get commission for a wage. Needless to say when we do get our house in Lethbridge it will not be with him and he will not get one cent of the commission we will give to the realtor we choose. This experience was horrible and has made a bad impression on my daughter and her boyfriend. Buying a house is suposed to be fun

In selling my home recently, Dallas and his team at RE/MAX Real Estate - Lethbridge went above and beyond to make the transaction happen. While there were some challenges, Dallas and his team listened and went to work to make sure that I was heard and put in place an actionable plan! I really felt that they heard me and took the steps to make the process work for both of us! My first buying experience was a nightmare thanks to Chuck Holtom. I gave him specific but open requirements for a home, but the homes he took us to weren't great matches. I continued looking at a few other homes with agents from other brokerages, which while still not the right fit, were a lot closerl. I finally found the home I wanted on Remax's own site, and asked the listing agent to show the property. Instead Chuck showed up all ruffled and angry I didn't call him! Well, maybe you should have shown us it yourself, it is exactly what I asked for and is listed with your own broker. I almost immediately wanted to buy it, and only wanted my girlfriend to confirm it's what we were looking for. After she checked it out we signed the offer letter and provided a check. I told Chuck when I gave him the check that if he cashed it immediately it would bounce, I needed to pull money out of some investments. He assured me it didn't need to be cashed until the deal went through, and he'd tell me in advance. Two days later I'm hit with a NSF fee, and a call from Chuck screaming that the deal won't go through because the check was bad. He had put it in the night depository that first evening, completely contrary to what he told me. Instead of doing his job and fixing this, or even being a decent human and admitting he did anything wrong, he assured me that I'm incompetent, and I must drive back from Calgary immediately with a bank draft, or my offer would be thrown out. I called the listing agent and explained, he said he didn't care as long as I told him I was good for it and brought a draft with me when we finalized everything. At this point I tried to fire Chuck, and almost let the deal fall through just to make sure he didn't get his cut, but even talking with the broker it wasn't possible this late in the game. If that wasn't bad enough on it's own, Chuck is horribly sneaky and pushy about getting you to sign an exclusivity agreement (WHICH YOU SHOULD NEVER SIGN WITH ANY REALTOR, BECAUSE YOU'LL BE STUCK WITH AN IDIOT LIKE CHUCK), and he refused to cover my NSF fee, which in the scheme of things, would have cost almost nothing, but would have showed he cared even an ounce. Nope. Oh, and he sends you unsolicited junk mail every other week. DO NOT USE CHUCK HOLTOM EVER.
