We had an unexpected treat when we diverted from the planned day to drop by 40 Knots to check it out. The building promises a modern experience. And they delivered. Great outdoor seating, super helpful team members and some pretty good wines. Cool climate growing isn't easy stuff and most palates are learning about this category. We enjoyed the unique tasting flight presentation as well as the brand's sense of humour about wine as entertainment. Highly recommended if you are into wine and in the area... it may not be your usual flavour or typical expression but it's fun, it's fresh and it's well managed.

Wonderful experience with helpful staff. Incredible selection of wines. We loved the Open Seas, the lush stone fruits really come through with every sip! Comfortable venue with seating to cater for any weather. Will definitely be back.

We had an awesome experience working with this venue. We originally booked in January of 2021, while COVID was making things chaotic still, so I feel like they've gotten even better to work with over time. They definitely know how to throw a great wedding, and the drinks were amazing!

My absolute favourite vineyard! There is an incredible welcome every time you visit - be it for wine club, bookclub, yoga, special classes, Wine Wednesday ... the experience is the same - exceptional! We hosted our son's wedding here 4 years ago and our family members are still sharing stories of this remarkable, family friendly business in the Comox Valley.

We had an excellent tasting of 6 of the wines produced at 40 Knots, introduced by a very well informed guide. The wines were accompanied by locally produced crackers, cheeses, pickled grapes and chocolate. The shop and seating areas are all welcoming and very high quality. We enjoyed it so much we intend to go back tomorrow to have a cheese and charcuterie board together with a glass of their delicious wine. Our favourite was the Carambolage

We arrived at almost closing on our bikes and even so the staff were very accommodating, helping us get situated and what we needed. It was a Thursday so we even got to enjoy some live music! Excellent wine and charcuterie picnic too.

Beautiful winery for spending a holiday afternoon at. The wine flights are a great way to get a taste of the different available wines and the picnic menu pairs perfectly. Highly recommend adding 40 Knots to your Comox Valley “must visit” list.

Mostly a white winery they do offer some alternative options. Due to the local grapes everythings gonna be on the dryer side but they do dabble in some unique blends and experimental options. Must try a flight and taste test your way through their options and bring home a bottle of your favorite for a relatively agreeable price.
