Chronic Ink - Tattoo Shop Downtown Toronto

Alex Prequel did a beautiful job at covering up a tattoo that I no longer liked. He’s a uper talented, attentive and kind. From booking to aftercare, I had a great experience. Will definitely be coming back.

Chronic is one of the best places to get your piercing. Got my septum done by Tyler. Super friendly, professional, and you can definitely tell he's experienced. He made what seems like an intimidating process into something very easy, and as painless as it could be. I've been to chronic couple times, and the manager recognized me haha she's super friendly. I'm sure it's also an awesome place to get tattooed, as there's a ton of super talented artists and regular guest artists from around the world

I've come to this shop a handful of times & had a decent experience throughout. I had a couple pieces done by 2 apprentices, one of which gave me a very pleasant and easy going experience! Shout out to Liz. She pays close attention to detail and still manages to finish in a timely manner with beautiful results. I'm very satisfied with how my tattoo turned out for someone with not as much experience with colour. The other artist also did a great job, nothing against his work at all. The motto i've noticed is that tips aren't necessary 100% but appreciated". While Liz was very grateful of the tip I gave

I’ve had multiple sessions here with Karen and I absolutely adore her, super sweet and thoughtful. Incredible artwork and makes me feel right at home. The environment here is very professional and friendly, everyone has always been very nice. 10/10 will be staying with these guys from now on

I was really looking forward to working with Chronic Ink but I think their company has gotten too big.TLDR: I’d highly recommend looking out for the smaller shops as Chronic Ink seems to be interested in profits and milking out their customers now.I was interested in having two small/medium-size, script-based tattoos done and had emailed for quotes and was provided a range of $380-$450 for each tattoo, citing that they only provide a firm price on the day of (and only after providing a $350 deposit!!!!).Baffled, I requested to schedule their “free consultation” and was instead prompted with the same price range I received online and refusal to provide a firm price even though I was there in person!I had walked in to two other studios and they were able to provide a firm price of around $600 for both tattoos within 5 minutes, with no deposit needed.This would have been my 6th tattoo and I’ve never been asked for a deposit before getting an accurate pricing on any tattoo work.

Tattoo didn’t heal well despite following directions - lots of bald patches within the first month.I was also told I can get a free touch up within 6 months, but upon requesting a touch up (4 months after my tattoo) they refused to offer me the complimentary touch up because they said their policy is 3 months, not 6. A side note: at the time of my tattoo appointment, they explicitly told me that coming in sooner than 3-4 months for a touch up was too soon, and that I have 6 months for a free touch up. This is why I waited until 4 months post-appointment.This was my first tattoo experience ever, and despite me being given misinformation, Chronic Ink did not take responsibility nor try to make amends for my poor experience - they not only said “there’s nothing we can do”, they tried to tell me that I was the one who misunderstood them when I was VERY clearly told 6 months.Very disappointed because I was planning on returning to Chronic Ink for many more tattoos, but I will not be going back.

I have had many tattoo's done by Karen and will be having many more done by her in the future. She was courteous, clean, and patient, especially with painful tattoos. I felt welcomed and at home in the studio with her service. Her line work and attention to detail is incredible and I love every tattoo I've gotten from her. The studio itself was clean, the staff was friendly and the process of getting a tattoo there was very easy and not intimidating. Overall, a five star experience and I will be returning. Walk-in rook piercing was super easy, just called an hour ahead to ask if they had availability. Vee was soooo nice and clearly very knowledgeable and the actual piercing itself was super painless! The piercing was $40, basic titanium barbell was $30 which I think is typical for downtown.It's been a couple weeks and I've had no pain and barely any swelling. Definitely recommend!

I got my septum pierced by Vee and she was absolutely incredible. She explained the piercing process and the aftercare instructions very thoroughly. I get lightheaded very easily and she ensured I was comfortable, safe, and taken care of the whole time. Her compassion, kindness, and professionalism was incredible. I’ll definitely be coming back to see her for any future piercings :)

Always a great experience when using chronic ink, I’ve been to multiple locations and I’ve never been disappointed. Definitely recommend checking them out, specially for your first tattoo.
