Carters Beach
A beautiful beach, with incredible views. We went during the tide shift and it was incredibly peaceful. Our corgi enjoyed the different levels of nature this beach has to other between the ocean waves, the gentle stream to wade in and most of all the soft white sand to roll around and run through.

Beautiful beach, powder white sand and blue/green water. Very little wind (the day we were there) so very warm for an early September day. Highly recommended.

Beautiful beach!!! Parking is limited, but I’d you go early it isn’t a problem. We went because of all the pictures of the beautiful blue green waters but in a cloudy foggy morning the ocean is a little less colourful then expected. But exploring and beaches and relaxing on the white sand was worth it! Such a wonderful place to spend time.

The trick to this beach is to go early as parking is limited....but really worth the trip. The sand is like down south. And I was able to go in the water...so that says that it was warm. It is not a beach you want to miss out on visiting . The trail in from the parking lot is easy to traverse. I will definitely return when back on the area

This beach is close to two hours way from Halifax if you choose to drive along the coast line as we did. The drive is almost all single lane highway. The beach has a small area for parking. Get there early (before 10 am) and you shouldn’t have a problem. The beach starts to get busy closer to noon. They do have two porta potty’s there but no changing room or wash stations. There are two paths leading you to the beach. One path is a on a 45 degree angle. Not too safe for kids. But it is the quickest route to the white sand. The second path is near the porta potty. The path is safer for kids. The kayakers use it to take kayaks to the beach. The only complaint about this beach is the horse flies. They do bite and it doesn’t tickle. The sand is white and the water is shallow clear and calm. It reminded us of being on vacation in the Caribbean. The water is frigid. Almost comparable to a polar bear dip. The pain of the freezing waters go deep to the bones. We loved it!

Gorgeous beach with beautiful sand and water. The beach itself was clean & when we went we meet a variety of people from families wanting to sit & chat to others who had started spike ball games and encouraged others to join in. It was a perfect beach to relax & socialize. The water is freezing but makes the sun tanning feel well deserved. Parking is limited so you have to park along the road which some neighbours seemed to be annoyed about but others were friendly.

My favorite place! The water is so clean and clear, the sands are white and fine as sugar, the rocks are picturesque and view is so relaxing.

Gorgeous beach. White sand, clear blue turquoise water. The water is freezing, very refreshing. Beware of horse flies and earwigs!!

I love this beach. It's like leaving Camada and going to a tropical island. The water is incredible. The parking area is almost non-existent. I haven't been over during summer, so I wonder how easy it will be to get to the beach. I hear cars park all the way down the road, so it may be a bit of a hike. But it would be worth it.
