Seafood Boil | Sea Salt Seafood Cafe | Ajax | Sea Salt is the first Seafood Cafe in Ontario! Our goal is to bring big flavour and a good time to the region by offering southern style lobster, crab or shrimp boils with sausage (halal), corn or potatoes smothered in lemon pepper, butter garlic or cajun sauce.

The food was just not great. The seafood was mediocre. The service was good though. We went here as per a recommendation and my friend and I were just not impressed. We left feeling quite nauseated. Portions were fair, however, it was quite expensive. I got a lobster roll and split half of a boil with my friend and that ran me $70+. The lobster roll was $30 dollars and was quite basic. Do not get the sea salt butter sauce. Will probably not return. However, it is just okay for a one off visit.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food, who would expect a great meal at the Ajax Go Train Station. The family really enjoyed the meal. I wished there was more dipping sauce for my fish and chips at the outset, luckily the waitress found two tartar sauce packets. I am picky about fish and chips and found this restaurant to have a lighter fish batter that I actually like. The service was not the best as my server seemed new, she brought a coffee to the table which we did not order by mistake. But all in all it was a pleasant experience.

This is truly one of my favourite places to get seafood boil. The overall combo was truly amazing. We ordered the Calamari which was lightly battered and in small circle it gave a really good crunch. Then we had the Shrimp combo boil that came with Cajun shrimp, corn, and rice. Everything packed so much flavour. I would recommend anybody to check this place out.

One word. INCREDIBLE. Tried Sea Salt today with our family, and everything was extremely fresh, delicious, and with great portions. We got 2x of the large buckets. We had 5 people in total and ordered 2x large buckets, a lobster roll, and calamari. We all left extremely full and was very satisfied with the friendly service and the quality of the food. My mother in law also commented on how fresh the seafood was, and the sauces were also super tasty. You can tell they know how to properly incorporate spices into their cooking, and it was done just right. We had the cajun style, and also the lemon pepper style. I believe they are also halal, and were accommodating of changes and requests too. Definitely check it out if you're in the area or well worth the drive if you're looking for some awesome food. Thank you Adam for the great service - we'll be back for sure!

Our experience with Sea Salt started in the parking lot where we met Anna, one of the servers from Sea Salt. When asked what was good, she suggested the shrimp roll and any of the boils. Once we were seated, we saw Anna walking around and insisted that she be our server. On her suggestion, I ordered the lobster roll and 1/2 lb shrimp boil with spicy sausage.Service was quick, and the food was amazing!!The lobster roll was soft and delicious, and it seemed like the bread was made from clouds. It didn't get didn't get in the way of the lobster. The boil was also amazing. Filling, tasty, well sauced, and well proportioned.Hats off to Anna for an amazing experience and to the chef for an opportunity to enjoy this experience of food!! Lastly, to the owners.Great job!! The ambiance was sublime.Will definitely return!!

We really liked the food, ambience and the service.We ordered fried calamari, fried shrimp and calamari, lobster roll and one pound of shrimp bowl. All tasted well.The quality of the food and the quantity are enough to come back again.Front desk girl knows how to treat the customers when they arrive.The reservation system working well and we were able to book two days ago and got the confirmation message as well.We will come back soon to try other dishes.Keep up the good work guys!

This review is a little overdue but i came here with my parents on Ash Wednesday to celebrate a birthday. It's a unique location: right in the GO station. There was only one server: a delightful, young Jamaican girl but the place wasn't busy. The server explained the menu to us and even made some recommendations on portion size. She definitely was a huge help. The food was very fresh and very tasty.. That butter sauce or garlic sauce they put on top is absolute crack.. Anyway, all of us concurred that we'd definitely return. Bonus: they gave us a free piece of cheesecake for the birthday and it was yummy too.

What a great find! This place serves seafood and coffee/non alcoholic beverages. It's clean and tidy inside with neat decor. The servers are friendly. Food was tasty but needed a bit more flavour. Would definitely come back

The location is beautiful and the service was amazing. Robina was our server and she was so sweet and checked in on us frequently enough to make sure everything was good and we were happy. She also offered us markers, which was cute and fun. It's definitely a family/kid friendly place! It wasn't busy when we went but even if it was, there's plenty of parking available. The food was pretty good, and I'll definitely be back, but my only comment would be that it was lacking in salt (ironic, I know lol). Other than that, it was a great dine-in experience!

Food was decent, the sauce overpowered the whole dish other than good portion size. Servers were really attentive, the only thing was we were a large group and 18% was already added to the total bill which is standard at most restaurants.The shocking part was we were informed that the servers don't get any portion of that 18% service charge, we ended up tipping more with total of 30% which seems a lot for this kind of establishment.If you are a group of six or more just ask the questions otherwise you could end up with those 18% charge.
