Clayton is a delight to work with. He patiently explained the process and demonstrated the various stages. I made the globe ornament. For the parts of the process that were tolerant to beginner error, I did it. For the you've got one chance to get it right"

We completed a glass ornament workshop with Clayton. It was great fun and Clayton was very helpful in showing us how glass blowing worked and let us go through practical examples. It was hands on for a beginner session which was great, it really felt like we made the ornaments. There were lots of colours to choose from too. Highly recommend to anyone who has any interest in learning about glass blowing.

My mother and I took the glass flower workshop run by Clayton this past week. Clayton did a fantastic job helping us get to know the studio, materials and tools before we hit the ground running! All aspects of the course were very hands on and Clayton provided lots of help and reassurance. At the end of the course we each had a beautiful flower to take home (a couple days later once the piece was cooled!). Prior to the course Clayton was also very responsive and accommodating with scheduling which we really appreciated.Highly recommend to anyone looking to try something new and interesting! Thanks again Clayton!!

Apparently I live under a rock and had no idea what a craze glassblowing has had lately (never new about the Netflix series). I did a random google search for a glass studio to gift an experience to my mom who has a life-long fascination with anything glass. I stumbled upon Turnstyle Glassblowing Studio and was drawn by Clayon's welcoming and laid-back approach and thought it was the perfect studio for us newbies. I gifted a beginners workshop for two to my mom for her birthday and we were BLOWN AWAY (see how I did that, there...?)!From the get-go Clayton was super responsive, enthusiastic, inspiring, kind, and a superb and patient teacher! He explained a bit of history, swapped stories with my mom about various glass artists and museums, showed us some of his previous works of art, introduced us to the tools, and studio, covered all safety aspects, drew a step-by-step of the process we would do together on the ground (I'm a visual learner - super helpful!), performed some demonstrations, and most importantly - he encouraged us in the moments where we thought we had ruined the project (Clayton to the rescue!)I have attended several workshops of various kinds throughout the city (arts, crafts, health, etc.) and Clayton gets 10-stars on every aspect - leaps and bounds above the rest. I felt safe, supported and he enabled me to leave my imposter syndrome at the door. It was worth every SINGLE penny! A great workshop for anyone: singles, couples, friends etc... If you want to see what a portal to another dimension looks like - sign up for a class at Turnstyle Glassblowing - I swear, seeing that furnace, alone, was worth the money - how can something possibly be THAT hot!! How can something with such a potentially-destructive force make something so incredibly fragile? There is a lot of poetry to be written from analyzing the process of glassmaking.Helpful tip: You need to wear safety goggles so be ready for that if you wear glasses, and wear elbow length shirt if you have one (protects the arm), although Clayton also has arm protectors onsite too.My project piece sits proudly on my desk with daylight streaming through it - I will NEVER look at glass the same way again. A thousand thank you's, Clayton! You helped us make memories, and expanded our appreciate for the art-form (never thought my mom could EVER love glass any more than she did, but you proved us wrong!). May your business and your art prosper, always!

We did the beginners ornament workshop for two. Clayton gave clear, hands-on guidance while explaining the basics of glass work. We were happy with the sanitation regarding the mouth piece of the pipes. Communication via email was prompt as well. Overall, it was a great experience with a friendly guy! Would definitely return. :) And we were super happy with the finished products!

We had a fantastic time doing a beginner workshop making glass ornaments! Clayton was super friendly, patient, and super informative throughout the session. What I loved was that we spent that it was a private session with my partner and I. We had plenty of time practicing skills to get a better feel for how to interact with the tools & glass. I really appreciated how involved we got to be throughout the process. If you're curious about glassblowing or just want to do something really fun, go to Clayton!

Expending my creativity in a new art form, Clayton wins the trophy for ‘master class’ in glass art instruction for beginners. Patient, detailed, safety, respectful, in a friendly environment. My friend and I signed up for the 2hr paperweight beginners course and want to go back for more.

My friend and I took the Introduction class yesterday. Clayton is extremely kind, proficient and patient teaching the fundamentals and safety of glass blowing and creation ( especially since I like to talk and joke around). It was truly a wonderful experience. We both made flowers, but I'd love to try it again for a ball or paperweight in the future. If this is something you've pondered, I highly recommend Clayton's class. He's not only a great teacher, but his creations are shown through a rolling clip on a computer nearby. The artistry is mind blowing as to what can be accomplished. You can tell he has a real passion for the art. ps - I have sensitive skin, so if we take another class I'll make sure while near the oven gathering the glass, to have my arm covered up.

Did the intro to glass blowing and it was a great experience. Clayton was very considerate of Covid safety and personal safety. I felt relaxed learning it and made the techniques very accessible. I think the price was more than fair for the time. Not only do you get some skills, and experience but also you get the ornament. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
