Red Cap Restaurant and Motel
Went today around 1.30 for lunch. They were out of the first two things I wanted, which was ok as they were popular items and we were a little late for lunch. I had the haddock fish cakes, delicious and everyone else's meals were great. The staff were very friendly. I will be back for sure.

A diamond in the rough. There's not many choices for restaurants in the Pubnico area of Nova Scotia during the early spring time. I'm glad my cousins recommended this spot for lunch My seafood was chowder was very tasty. And the homemade desert options were off the charts. I can't wait to make another visit and taste the other things on the menu.

Haddock and lobster sauce was some of the best I have had in the tri counties!The atmosphere was nice except that I found it very hot and stuffy in there!

We were a party of 11. We came on Friday when kids under 10 eat free. Their complimentary biscuits were simple but delicious. Kids ate all their food. Only one person had a minor mix up with their order but it was handled well. The lobster sauce is excellent. The lobster poutine was a small dish size. I ordered a soda and it comes in a can with a cup of ice. Very good local fare... Not surprised it's highly recommended. It is across the street from beautiful harbor/ocean views.

Had fish cakes with salad and chow chow.Club sandwich with real chickenClams and twice baked potato.Wow everything was hot and lots of.Very clean restaurant and service was outstandingWill definitely be backPrices were very reasonable

The double seafood crepe with lobster sauce ($26) is sensational!! Large haddock with lobster sauce ($25) is also a must try. Love that caesar salad ($10) in Nova Scotia is served with a lemon wedge - adds freshness to the veggies. Rhubarb pie is $6.25 and ice cream’s $0.85. Pop is $2.35 a can.

Great food, friendly service. Wife had the Haddock and lobster sauce, their special, and it was excellent.Blueberry pie for dessert was fresh and delicious.Full marks.

Rappie pie was good, but I do think my mom's is the best. My partner enjoyed his meal too...great place to stop.
