I've been going to see Marigold for years and she is hands down the best hairdresser ever. Her work is quality...always the way I pictured it or better and she charges me fair prices and I always get my moneys worth and feel happy after.

I got some braids on my high fade and I feel absolutely fantastic. The braids are gorgeous. Gentle hands but super neat tidy parts. Plus the environment is very relaxing especially for introverts like me. I plan on going back over and over and over again. I also love the price transparency and affordability

Whoever did my hair failed to mention the person who was actually supposed to do my hair was not around. I asked for an oil treatment and a silk press. By the time she was done,I left the salon with a frizzy ball of hair. My hair is not super long, so it should not take my almost 3 hours to silk press my hair. It would have been nice to be informed initially if the hair style could not be achieved.I was not impressed by the service and unfortunately will not be returning back.

Very professional service. The first day I went to relax my hair, Truhairven automatically felt like home. I told myself that I’ve found the hair boss.I went back to get my braids done, lash extensions and some more.I highly recommend

The owner (Mariegold) is a great hair stylist! I have known her for over 6 years now and she has been my go-to person whenever I want my hair done right. The salon is clean and friendly. I am happy with the services they provide and I recommend you check them out. There are some great hair stylists working here too.

The staff at Truhairven is always very welcoming, friendly and helpful. You will not be disappointed! I’ve had the opportunity to have my hair done by Reenah who is very patient. It’s now my go to salon. As a student, I find that they offer really affordable but excellent services.

Hot Mess - do not book hereThere are so many reasons I am frustrated with my experience and would not recommend this place to others. Let’s do bullet points at a high level because while my story is tragic I think prospective clients need to know how this will impact them before putting down $140 deposit and paying $500+.- the company is overpriced, I paid $350 for a hair treatment and boho soft Locs. They purchased the hair for me which was also way more than I would have paid if I did it myself. I reimbursed them $170- booking is disorganized and you do not book with your stylist because the owner fears losing clients. I had no clue I wasn’t having my hair done by the owner. And her communication to the stylist was poor. My hair looks nothing like what I asked for at all. Although, this is also on the stylist because before we began I did share a photo of what I wanted. To add to this I wanted colour then the night before my morning appoint the owner tells me she wont be able to find that colour. You have now given me no time to do this myself that is simply not okay I messaged you very early about what I needed if you could not do it you should have responded at a reasonable hour so I could buy it.- the deep conditioner they use is not for natural hair. I paid $50 and my hair felt dry as hell. I asked for the bottle that bc conditioner is for white women’s hair.- they do not know how to manage natural hair. While washing my hair the stylist created tangles and knots that she later had to fix. And the detangling process was poor.- my hair while nice is not what I asked for at all. From the colour to the thickness, to the fact that I wanted spring twist and they used Marley hair. My hair is so thick now I won’t be able to put my hair up to workout.- they told me to arrive at 11am the day before then the morning of to arrive at 10. I got there at 9:45am and waited for 50 mins. Why?- the stylist took personal calls and left me under the conditioner while it was beeping to end. She was lovely and apologized and truthfully I don’t blame her. I found out that she didn’t even know she was doing my hair until the day of and had things planned. The owner also forgot that my hair apt was Monday so I’m not surprised she didn’t properly inform.There are better cheaper places. I was in a rush and made mistakes. Please do not make my mistake. You work hard for your money and you should get what you want at these prices.

Today l got my starter- locs done and l absolutely love them, Reenah was so sweet and helpful. We most certainly come back. Should definitely get your hair done here!!

Amazing service I must say. I usually don’t like braiding because of the amount of time it takes to get it done but I was impressed how it was neatly and quickly done. If you are like me that like braids done fast then you are in the right place
