Jo is a wonderful host. She is very generous and helpful but never intrusive. Her home is lovely, inside & out. With many acres we spent several days exploring her extensive beachfront and direct view of the famous Ferryland lighthouse. Every day was different, from sun to fog, always windy and always beautiful. A short walk to trails and a full grocery store with beer/wine. Her breakfasts were incredible, with enough for picnic lunches, and all day & night access to coffee, tea, fridge, microwave and snacks. We had a luxurious bedroom with balcony, robes, body products, etc. This home offers many deck areas, a gazebo by the shore, interesting books and lounge areas, not to mention the location, half-way around The Irish Loop, and right by the archeological dig of Avalon. We'd stay here again any time!

Amazing location! We stayed here for a night while hiking the East Coast Trail. Spotless private rooms and a friendly communal room with great views of the lighthouse. Maxine and Charlie were great hosts sharing with us stories and info about the area. 5 stars!

The Dunns are just such wonderful, gracious hosts. The property is just 12 years old and is in great shape and spotlessly clean. They delayed our breakfast until a little later as per our request. We chatted with them in the family room" for most of the evening and it was delightful. Maxine and Charlie you guys deserve a 5 star rating. Thanks for a wonderful day!"
