H mart Calgary Downtown

Love this Korean market. I got rid of my Zojirushi and was looking for Cuckoo. The girls are friendly and helpful when I was trying to find a suitable one. They answered my questions and offered suggestions. Ended up buying a Cuckoo smart IH rice cooker. The food, bakery & H-kitchen has amazing selections. Only downfall is parking because this market is located downtown. It's a bit of a pain to circle around looking for parking.

Stopped on a Friday night after arriving at airport from USA. Getting here was not smooth; downtown traffic (w/ lane closures) meant other Asian markets would have been quicker to reach from the airport. Not the fault of H-mart of course!Store itself was smaller than what I'm used to, even when not using American H-marts as the standard. Options on items were limited, but they had all the essentials stocked and we were able to get what we needed. Not sure how to gauge prices; other reviewers will have to provide that comparison. Checkout was efficient. Store was clean, pleasant, and organized.Someone mentioned parking is available in the lot behind the building. We didn't realize that was for the store. Maybe we missed a sign though.

Small store mainly with Korean and Japanese foods. The prices a little bit higher than in other stores with asian foods. After 5 pm you can buy sushi and some products with 20-30% discount.

The store barely has anything in stock especially the flyer items. Every time I got on Fridays for sale items, either sold out or no idea when the products will be in stock. If they are unsure, should not be advertising in the first place. They no longer have flyers on website, and yet, when I visited the store to ask about it, the cashier had no idea how to access the flyers specifically for Calgary location. So disappointing that I no longer bother with this storw. I just want to see how H mart in the NW will be like, hopefully it's better. The parking is the worst here!

A lot of choice of the products with fair pricing; that is good. The shop is tidy and clean. The attitude of the cashier is bad; huge room to improve. When I requested to separate meats with other items, she gave me attitude unpleasantly.

It’s a great place to shop for the deals, but at the same some of my favorite products turned out a bit overpriced.Also, I believe all kimchi were pricy, I’m not sure - mb they are better in quality, but the cheapest small plastic barrel was around 22/24$ (I’m buying somewhere else for 12/18$). I didn’t see that coming :)

Small compared to E-mart but well stocked!Good amount of produce, meats, fish, and sushi grade seafood product. They also have a decent amount of packaged frozen food and regular grocery and pantry items.They also have a small cafeteria style restaurant inside offering bento style food as well as a buffet style self serve food items. The cafe also offer a small seating area on the corner overlooking the street.Was shocked to see they sell fresh matsutake mushrooms and unagi.We purchased the unagi and ate it at the small seating area inside and they were amazing!I would definitely come here again.

So glad we finally have h mart in Calgary! Good place to get korean cosmetics and good cakes. I will definitely visit the store often

This place has a lot of weekly promotions that keeps it relevant and exciting to visit each time. I visited the H Mart website and it appears they have a great marketing team.
