Ontario Wilderness Houseboat Rentals

Terry, Bill, Crissy and the folks at Wilderness Houseboat are just wonderful.The houseboat was stunning - 2 bathrooms (!), everything operated flawlessly, and we had the nicest trip ever. We are houseboat veterans, but best we’ve found so far. 4 days of limiting out on walleye, crappie and perch and can’t wait to do it again!Mechanic on-site (which saved our trip), fantastic bait and tackle store - all the ingredients needed for memories to last a lifetime.Wonderful experience!!!

Terry and Crissy and staff are amazing, they are quick to respond, and make sure if something needs to be done it's done quickly! Phil who brought out our mid week delivery and a few other things is a hands down great guy who knows his stuff! This was our 4th time on Lake of the Woods and this year was great! The fishing was on fire! From muskie, to walleye and smallies we hit them all! Don't forget mama bear and her 2 cubs! We are already booked for next year! Thank you Gill's for another great trip and wonderful memories!

What a wonderful way to experience the wilderness in comfort! We booked with 3 couples for 3 nights and a 49' boat was a great recommendation for us. The booking process was very easy as Crissy answered multiple questions and had excellent suggestions. The boat was older and a bit dated but very roomy, clean and everything worked perfectly. Check in was a breeze and staff ...especially Phil...were really helpful in getting us settled. We traveled about 2 hours to our first parking spot located near a good fishing hole. The boat was easy to drive and park. There was a large living/dinning/kitchen area at the front of the boat with lots of screened in windows and it was great for meals and hanging out. Our overnight parking spots were amazing with beautiful sand beaches and established fire pits. The owners were available by 2 way radio or Messenger to answer questions or provide suggestions for new fishing spots. As a group, we would highly recommend Ontario Wilderness Houseboats!

It is a must do. The houseboats are clean and easy to drive. Ever rented a cabin just to find the best fishing is at the other end of the lake? No problem, you can park where you want and be able to fish till dark and be right next to home. The houseboat is also your dock, 2 steps and your in. The Gills are great and see that you have everything you need and will even bring supplies out to you if you run out or forget something. Beautiful scenery with lots of wildlife and solitude. We can’t wait until this virus is gone. See you there

Terry and his crew are incredibly professional and very, very accommodating. The houseboat we had was a floating palace. The kitchen was well-equipped. And the houseboat was easier to drive and manoeuvre than one might imagine. And the locale is simply beautiful. Highly recommended!
