Dragon Roll Sushi Market
This is normally my go-to sushi place, I really appreciate the quality and pricing.But today we got some tuna that was black (we tossed it out before taking a photo) and now I don't know if I'll be going back.Yes you choose your own tray, but there's no reason fish that has gone bad should be available.Otherwise this place is fantastic.

Felt scammed with my order. Truly disappointed in the quality of our meal. It's really too bad how low this restaurant has come in order to pinch pennies. I suggest going to other sushi restaurants if you want better quality.-Nigiri fish was sliced so thin I could see through it. The tuna was questionable in freshness so I unfortunately had to throw it out.-gyoza was stone cold, traditionally they're served fresh and still warm off the grill. These gyoza were pre packaged and tape sealed like it was made the day before or they didn't sell what they over made.-dragon roll was just california roll wrapped in the same thin sliced old tuna. Avocado inside was hard, not ripe.-dynamite roll was excessively drenched in mayo that wasn't flavorful at all. The deep fried tempura inside was stale and soft, you could tell it was not fresh, no crunch at all. Again, questioning the freshness of the food.

Best inexpensive sushi in Victoria! You get great sushi, fast friendly service, and everything is about half off, right before they close, because they make their sushi fresh every day. Try it. You'll be happy you did.

Great takeaway place for a quick sushi break, I had the Real crab, prawn dynamite, and a few more. The owner is super friendly, attends to all the requests. Now it is obvious that I won't order a fried dish, since it is packaged in the plastic containers hence gets soggy and loose texture. All in all great place for grab and go. *(My review might change with time, coz I haven't tasted sushi at other places on the Island)

Reasonable prices, fresh sushi rolls (favorite is dragon roll). Highly recommend. Online order is easy, plan for pickup time if you are ordering a lot of dishes esp on a Friday night.

First, the place has a weird smell. Second, the sushi was pretty gross. The rice was congealed into a dense paste and the tuna was mushy and flavourless. If I didn't hate wasting food I wouldn't have finished eating. The staff were not helpful. It would be worth the 20 minute drive to Fujiya which is infinitely better, or the extra dollar or two for Bon Sushi in Royal Oak Plaza. Overall terrible establishment, do not go here. ZERO STARS.

Not good for vegetarian options. The yam roll is yuck. They don't use tempura yam. Just straight up plain yam with nothing. The food is as basic as it gets, no flavor. The worst packaging, very poorly packaged for Skip the dishes. The bag was open and nothing was sealed. Any delivery person would have free range to tamper with your food if they wanted. Of course it's a market so nothing comes hot and I wish I had known I've basically have to cook my own dumplings. I could have just taken the ones that I have in the freezer out and heated those up.
