Honestly this was the first time I've had to go through such a difficult and unimaginable time. Pleasant Valley Funeral Home were really awesome from giving me clear helpful instructions on what steps I had to take to having the patience when I didn't know what to do or wasn't able to handle something. I would definitely recommend to anyone who sadly is in need of this service.

This was a situation where my deceased parent was picked up from the hospice house, and was then cremated. There was no service requested. As such, on that matter, I rated it a 5 as there was no N/A option in the survey. The staff were very professional and did an excellent job throughout. They were very responsive when I called them to make the arrangements for pickup. . The prices had gone up quite a lot since the last time a parent had passed away, but that was 23 years ago so I can't do too much complaining. The funeral home was quite up front about the costs involved, and were always clear that I could ask for something additional or not, as I may wish. I used Pleasant Valley for my dad's passing, and now for my Mom's. They did the service for my paternal grandparents. When either my wife or I go next, I would expect that they'll deal with that too.

Pleasant Valley Funeral Home provided a compassionate environment while my Mother's funeral arrangements were made. They walked us through the steps that our family had to face during the lose of someone we love so deeply, with patience and kindness. Providing us with options -- without pressure and foreseeing our needs before we could vocalize them-- helped us to cope. Thank you for everything !

Pleasant Valley Funeral home helped my family when my dad passed away in 2020. It was a deeply emotional time and everyone we dealt with was extremely compassionate. From the first phone call to my last visit to pick up his ashes, they were gentle and kind. It gave me such a sense of peace knowing that he was looked after with respect and dignity. I will be forever grateful for how they treated us all.

Dealing with the death of a loved one is always hard and a lot of decisions need to be made fairly quickly, especially burial and funeral. I had never planned nor executed a funeral before and was very nervous about the process, the cost, the details, etc. Tylore actually contacted me by phone when my mother was first transferred from hospice to the funeral home, and she helped me get things set up from there. Really appreciated the professionalism of the staff, the attention to details I didn't even know existed, and the service of Pleasant Valley Funeral Home in general. Would definitely use them again in the future, although hopefully not soon!

Jessica and the staff were very supportive and caring and listened to what our mom wanted and did not pressure us in any way at all . They made it very easy to deal with such an emotional part of life.

We so appreciate all the care and guidance that was provided during a time when it's very hard to think clearly. We felt that we could ask any question and that we were the priority for as long as was needed. Thank-you for making our family feel comfortable to just be ourselves, to share some memories and even some laughs in a safe space.

I absolutely would recommend Pleasant Valley(Tylore King funeral director and assistant Tyler )in their impeccable work and attention to detail with both pre-mass prayer night with Father Peters and again at the funeral. They were both supportive and empathetic in our time of loss.Tyler's step by step direction from beginning to end was a great weight lifted for us . We cannot thank you enough for giving our mother the last farewell that she deserved and making this day easier on those she left behind.
