Moving provinces during COVID-19 is stressful for anyone, but the team at Riverton made it really easy and stress free. They were available for virtual showings, emails and phone calls to answer my questions and help make move in stress free. There was even a little welcome gift waiting for me! The apartment is bright, clean and quiet which is great considering it is located in a busy, trendy neighbourhood. There's lots of shops and restaurants nearby, but also wonderful trails for running/walking, and a park at the back of the building for dogs. This is a great pet friendly building, with a fabulous location. It's clean, well maintained, and has great amenities. I absolutely recommend it!

Good value apartment and I love the location - just a short walk from the Ottawa River pathway and from Hintonburg! Management is also very responsive and have been quick to fix any minor issues we've had. Parking garage is covered which is nice in the winter. Overall, a clean and secure apartment that I would easily recommend to others.

Looking for a place to stay during the pandemic can be challenging. However, the team at Riverton Park make it easy. This building has friendly, accommodating staff that really make you feel welcome. The one bedroom apartment is a perfect size and I was immediately impressed with the cleanliness of the building. Outside of affordability, I was most impressed by the location. You are right on the Ottawa River and within walking distance of downtown Ottawa. It’s perfect for anyone that likes nature and is a great location for cyclists. Overall, I can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re renting over distance like I did and want to find a good and reliable apartment during the pandemic, check out this fantastic building!

I don't recommend this building at all if you work from home. The building is a 'crime-free' building, but our bikes were stolen from the 'secure' bike room, and the management did nothing about it. There have been renovations going on all the time, which are extremely loud and trigger migraines, and you couldn't attend any meetings and even work from home. They referred me to the lease agreement when I complained about the noise. Except for the weekends, you should tolerate the noise all day, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This is by far the best place I've ever lived. Clean and quiet. The frame of the place is made of concrete which is best for sound dampening. If you are on the south side of the building, you get a nice sunny view of Ottawa at sunrise and sunset. If you live on the north side, you get a fantastic view of the Ottawa River and the Gatineau Hills. If you want a nice quiet place to live your life, it would be hard to find a better place than the Riverton Apartments in Ottawa.

Riverton Park is honestly such a steal. I started living here in October (6 months ago), and it's been such a great experience so far. The price is $300 less per month than many other apartments of similar size; this is likely because it is an older building, but you don't really feel it. It's not a flashy building, but it has everything you need.PROS:1. Cheap rent2. Very helpful and receptive staff. You can visit their office during work hours, and there is usually someone there to talk to right away.3. Small gym on the first floor4. Lovely terrace area5. AMAZING view of downtown if you are facing east6. Great area--short walk to trendy Hintonburg area and to Tunney's Pasture bus stationCONS:1. Smoking is allowed in rooms. You can sometimes smell cigarette smoke walking through the halls, but I've only ever caught a whiff of it in my unit. Febreeze and/or diffuser clears it up.2. They do renovations a lot, so sometimes there is noise during the day.But despite those two cons, this has been the most hassle-free apartment I've ever lived in. I can see myself living her for quite sometime.

Very pleasant experience with Riverton Park team.We are tenant in this building and we move in during the pandemic. Manager was very helpful with us and totally understand our situation. They are realy kind and easy going to us. Besides that the building is so quiet and neat without any smell of smoke or something else.It was the best experience ever.

I absolutely love living at Riverton Park. Even before I moved in the management was welcoming, accessible, and professional. They went above and beyond to make the experience of moving in enjoyable and have continued to be very helpful throughout my stay. My apartment is clean, well maintained, and gets beautiful natural light. I have been especially impressed with how thorough management has been with COVID-19 precautions. I would definitely recommend Riverton Park!

Really was hoping this place would be understanding. Since I read the good reviews. I have no criminal history, currently a medical student with a 4.0 GPA, also a disabled veteran so it's hard to find a job that is understanding to my disabled needs, but still I have 2 incomes. Also my girlfriend who is a Ukrainian refugee escaping the war is also disappointed. They could have told us no before applying. But they would rather waste our time. I thought we supported disabled people and Ukrainian refugees? But this place would rather us be homeless instead of actually helping us. I even offered a year down payment up front for a room. But no. I have the money! So what is it? Well money is money and you should be grateful that anyone offered the year amount, so if anyone has recommendations on a place that doesn't discriminate that would be helpful

A wonderful place to live overall! Below is my feedback on the various aspects of the building based on ~2 years of living here.Moving in: I recommend booking the service elevator as early as you can and try to do it during working hours, since the super isn't always on site. Overall, I've booked it 3 times (my initial move-in took 2 days and later on we needed it for my partner to move in) and on both Sundays that we've scheduled the loading dock on the door ended up locked, however Osgoode was able to chase down the super within 15 minutes after I called them. The management: very proactive and welcoming, they've had a few staff changes and some were definitely better than others, but overall they are very responsive (usually reply within a couple hours) for most requests. I have actually ended up locking myself on the balcony shortly after moving in and again, after calling Osgoode the super was there to let me back in after only 15 minutes on a Sunday evening. The crowd: it is a fairly quiet building with a mix of young people, elderly and a couple families with kids, definitely not empty, but not crowded either. The facilities: the gym and sauna are kept clean and maintained, there are laundry machines on every floor that function through the app, which is very convenient; going back to crowding, over the 2 years I've only had to wait for the laundry only a handful of times since a lot of people seem to be working from home and run their loads during the workday hours. The building also has a patio on the 4th floor for barbeque, but unfortunately it has been closed for most of last and this year for balcony repairs. The units: some apartments have been upgraded, but even the older ones are well-maintained and cleaned, with good kitchen appliances and water heaters. In terms of repairs, I personally had one issue with a gap in outside insulation of one of the walls that caused storm water to blow in and leak in from under the baseboards, but, once notified, the management was able to schedule an inspection within a week and had the issue resolved within 2 months. Another time my toilet has clogged and that has been dealt with the next morning, so no complaints there. The utilities: the tenants pay their own Hydro, which I have found to be a bit expensive for a one bedroom (~$200 in the winter and ~$60 in the summer without AC), but I believe that has to do with the insulation issues I've described above. The building has its own generator, so we haven't lost power during any of the outages. The area: my kitchen and the balcony face a construction site, which gets loud sometimes, but the windows do a great job of blocking off the noise. There is a convenience store across the street from the Forward Avenue entrance and it's about a 10 minute walk to the Tunney's Pasture and 15 - to the Parkdale Market. Overall, the area is very safe and quiet, we haven't come across any issues even during Bluesfest. The units facing the river also get a wonderful view of the August firework festival!Other perks: for the few remaining smokers here, the older units are grandfathered and you are allowed to smoke inside the unit/on the balcony and the patio, which is incredibly convenient and is getting harder to come across. All in all, I have greatly enjoyed my time here, and after living all across Ottawa and doing several apartment hunts, I find that this building offers some of the best values for money in the city centre. Also check out this view!
