Great school with wonderful teachers that really care!

Great school K-9. Awesome teachers and principle and office staff. Elementary kids go for morning and afternoon recess with their class instead of all the kids at once which is great and has pretty much put a stop to bullying. All teachers and staff are very protective of all kids.The school also has spacific staff that work with the kids and parents such as~ A success coach~Therapist~Roots and wings workerMy child was transferred last school year due to massive bullying at her other school and has been doing amazing. The teachers actually acomadate each child so they can succeed in school instead of just pushing them through to the next grade

Hey balwin been a while i hope mr kolb is doing well he is a good principal and i hope miss fedniya is doing good does she still teach in that same class and what about morning meditation how is that going, is andy still there tell him i said better act cool not smarty boy

i sadly have not been here but i will go here and iv seen alot about this school... they try pretty hard i honestly think parents should go to this school with there kids to see if they like it

You may (or may not) find this to be of interest but I was one of the music teachers (band, jazz band and some English) way back in the early 70's. The principal at the time was Frank Loewen. Even back then, Balwin was a very good school with a superb staff and very fine students. When I was offered a teaching position in Kelowna, BC, although I was looking forward to the adventure of experiencing BC, I was very sad to be leaving Balwin and the many staff members who had become friends. I also missed the students all of whom would now be in their early 60's... hard to believe! Back in those Balwin days, I was 26 years of age .... I am now age 76. I clearly recall the names of many of the students I taught ... would be great to perhaps encounter some of them again. Great times at Balwin!

My son went to the early education program here for preschool and it was fantastic. Great atmosphere and staff.
