La Cage

Was in town for business and to close out the week, we decided to go for a nice relaxing dinner.We noticed La Cage earlier in the week but didn't have time for a sit down dinner at the time.The glass windows were obviously fantastic and part of the reason we came back. We were going to sit on the patio, but decided on sitting inside at the last minute.We were greeted immediately and taken to our seat with a basket of popcorn from a stand up popcorn machine directly behind the server station.We were seated near the kitchen which was awesome because we could see the amazing food coming out, every single item looked mouth watering, smelled amazing, and made us wonder what each item was.We settled in, ordered some drinks, and an app, then took a few minutes to decide.After a short while trying to understand the French only menu (to be fair we probably could have asked for an English one, but didn't want to bother the busy staff), we both decided on getting a nice steak and before the app arrived, we called the server over and started to order, and were told that there was no steak left or no avocado left at the restaurant.We asked for some time to relook at the menu. We finally decided to get a selection of tartare.Our cauliflower app showed up and was fantastic. Up to this point everything seemed to go fantastic. We ate through the popcorn and the app and then time just kind of stood still.While we saw other tables having managers and hostesses filling other tables popcorn, ours remained empty, which wouldnt be such a big deal, if we didn't have to wait so long for our food to show up.Being setup by the kitchen at this point was the worst, seeing the time on the screen of our food going higher and higher, and at around 35-40 minutes we saw it put up by the kitchen, ready to be expedited to a server.Normally this wouldnt be a horrible timeframe, but the restaurant was not packed by any stretch of the imagination, part of the annoyance was that there was a party of young men beside us that ordered before us, and about 25 mins into waiting they had more of their party show up and they rushed the new members of the party orders which popped up in front of ours on the order board and they ended up getting their food asap, while we waited, to be fair to the kitchen, their food looked extremely tasty.So now we are sitting at about 40 minutes and we can see our food sitting less than 8 feet from us just waiting for it to be walked over to us. Not sure why that took another 5 minutes, but we were courteous and respectful. At this point one of the hostesses came over and asked if we wanted more popcorn as she saw our basket empty. We said yes, that would be great and also if she could check on our food that we could see sitting there.Our food was delivered within 30 seconds and a fresh basket of popcorn was dropped off seconds later.The food was absolutely mind blowing and could not have asked for it to taste any better, my compliments to the kitchen staff !!! Getting the poutine as a side was a good call, best poutine I had on this visit !We were a little upset that both of the tartare's came out spicy even though we were asked if we wanted it spicy and declined, but it was pretty loud so maybe we were misheard.Overall I would absolutely recommend visiting at least once, or more than once, we will for sure visit again when we are back in town.

Horrible service, wait at least 30 minutes before someone comes to see you or acknowledge you…food is tasteless and bland. Also u wait minimum 20 minutes for one drink. All the staff is like 18 years old and make sangria with apple juice…..

20$ burger, the size of a Wendy’s junior, meat was burned, cheese on patty was cold, meaning the meat was precooked. Fries were also cold. There are no avocados, so no poke bowl and no pizza…Half the menu isn’t available.Service was slow. Waiter was friendly, took our order and disappeared. Took 40 minutes to get our food. 60 minutes after we finished our plates, nobody came back see us to either ask us if the food was ok, or if we wanted another beer! When the waiter did arrive we told waiter the service was too slow and we were told sorry he’s the only waiter in the section and he has a table with kids etc.We got the bill in 5 minutes after that and told not to leave a tip. We did leave a tip.There were 5 employees in a huddle chatting and laughing, which we tried to flag down. They saw us but they just ignored us. They could not care less about their customers apparently.In reading the managements replies to the feedbacks left by customers on google, it seems that the do not answer negative feedbacks, only positive feedbacks. It tells you everything you need to know about this place, don’t expect any type of service and the quality of the food is as absent and the management.

Spacious sports bar, we came here with a group of 10 people and enjoyed our evening. I took a steak and fries and it was delicious. Their kitchen is open up to 10 pm, after that you can only order drinks from the bar. I saw a lot of families eating meals, so I guess it is good for families nights aswell. The service was exellent, we really enjoyed the evening.

Aside from the fact that the food was delicious, I want to talk about the service. Jeff was our waiter. He is truly INCREDIBLE!! The service was friendly and efficient. Jeff treated us like old friends. He was pleasant and funny without being pushy. I will call to make sure that I am seated in his section next time I go! Keep up the amazing service, Jeff!!!

I recently visited La Cage and while the establishment had a visually appealing decoration, I was quite disappointed with the overall experience. The service fell short of my expectations and several issues left me with a less-than-satisfactory impression.Upon entering the premises, I noticed that the place was not well-maintained, with popcorn scattered on the floor. It was a disappointing sight and created an untidy atmosphere. Furthermore, I was surprised when the waiter failed to serve us water, despite it being a basic courtesy in most dining establishments.Another issue was the lack of attention from the staff. Despite waiting for quite a while, nobody came to take our order. It was frustrating to have only one menu available, making it difficult for everyone at our table to review the options and make their selections in a timely manner.We decided to order the pizza and nachos with guacamole. Regrettably, the nachos did not taste fresh, leaving a stale impression. Moreover, the pizza was unexpectedly spicy, far beyond what we anticipated. The lack of balance in flavors made it challenging to enjoy our meals.Considering these disappointments, I must admit that I am hesitant to revisit La Cage in the future. While the decoration was aesthetically pleasing, the cleanliness of the establishment and the quality of service were major letdowns. I hope the management takes these aspects into consideration and works towards improving their overall customer experience.Based on my visit, I cannot recommend La Cage for those seeking both a visually appealing ambiance and quality service.

Food was great but very disapointed in the way we were treated by the barmaid this afternoon. ( May 7, 4:45pm)She switched the t.v. during the F1 Miami with 7 laps left. When asked why she gave a very rude attitude. Instead of ordering another round, we left.I will never return after getting attitude like that.Kitchen could have cut the cruditès with more care.

La cage - May 7 (not busy around 35people)With reservation at 3:45 Server finally came to get my order at 4:04…Order: spaghetti bolognese with Italian sausage ($19)Notes: the worst pasta meal I had at a restaurant. Taste like something you try to make at home with a recipe you found on TikTok. It’s dry and tasteless, but the Italian sausage adds a little bit of spicy taste to it. Really good portion for the price.Drink: red sangria ($13)Notes: tasted goodGot the drink at 4:13Meal at 4:262/10 I should of just order some wings and poutine that’s probably the only they really good at.

Yummy burger!! fries not so good, frozen taste. Kind of slow service and my drink wasn’t very well made unfortunately :/

march 30 4 pmi never waited so long for my food, nice place but service is horrible, the staff are more worried about their chats and looks than the service they are providing, food quality is horrible i order chicken fingers and fries which was cold after waiting 45 minutes, they need a change of management. im attaching the picture of a chicken finger that i pack to go, my husband said that is the worst appealing chicken finger he ever saw! and i shouldn't have paid for the food, anyways i learnt my lesson.
